Babies R Us is on the JB Hifi side of the monument to capitalism at Gepps Cross.

I used this store to do a gift registry for my baby shower recently. It was the best option I'd found for doing a registry; the other baby stores made you hand write what you wanted or didn't have a good system for buyers to pick up what you wanted. This store gave me one of those barcode scanner guns and all I had to do was walk around the shop and scan the barcode of what I wanted. (Gosh it was fun!). Then they generate a printed list of what you've scanned, and provide it to your shoppers when they arrive so they can see what's on the list. The list is automatically updated to reflect what's already been bought, so you don't double up.

The great thing about it was that i received a % of the value sold at the end of the registry - I can't recall if it was 10 or 20% - but basically they send you a Babies R Us gift card a few weeks after your registry closes to that % value of what was purchased from your registry. We listed a few things that we ended up buying ourselves so effectively got a % off.

The range here is quite good, perhaps not as extensive as baby bunting but still better than any other baby store. The prices are a bit more reasonable than Baby Bunting, though like any store comparisons, sometimes they were more expensive.

Their specials and sales are quite good and you can pick up some great bargains, especially in the clothing section.

The staff were very helpful - if you could pin one of them down - with the registry and also were happy to offer advice and chat to you about your new arrival.

Definitely recommend as one of the ports of call on the baby shopping circuit! Also definitely recommend the registry, even if you are only planning to buy things yourselves.

This is an amazing store for parents and parents-to-be. The staff are knowledgeable and really know their stuff, not to mention they always welcome you with a smile.

The range of products is amazing. It is certainly a one-stop shop for all parents and parents-to-be.

Would really like to see them stock more clothing ranges for older kids of 2 onwards. Is more catered for smaller babies. Overall very friendly staff, competitive prices and quick and easy service. keep up the good work but please consider stocking for older kids. I have twins and would probably buy more if they had clothing sizes to suit

A great one-stop shop for everything baby/kids related. Half the store is babies-r-us, the other half is toys-r-us, so enough there to keep you busy for the 1st 10+ years! Prices are reasonable but not super-cheap, unless there's a particular special- I picked up some Bonds baby clothes at about 60-70% off retail at the end of a season. Go here for range, not necessarily best value.
