This is a cute little cosy bar, with lots of highbacked armchairs and cushioned soafs to chill out in. The cocktail list is pretty long, with everything sorted out into spirit/base category which is great and the prices aren't too steep.

I highly recommend you try out the xmas cocktail. it's a creamy martini type drink which has ginger schnapps and chocolate in there somewhere. I can't remember the name but I do know that they do bring it out for xmas and it just smells and tastes heavenly.

great place for a date!

Went here a while ago, and was surprised at this little gem. It is a little hidden behind the chapel st strip, but a great place for some mixed drinks, a bit of a chat out the back, and to have a bit of a jig inside. It's an interesting place, that seems like an old house. Worth a look.

On a cold winter's week night (ie. when it's not busy) this is the best place to be in Melbourne. It's like your great-aunt's living room with an open fire, plush furnishings and a really, really cosy feel. They have a great range of cocktails (and other drinks of course) which aren't cheap but not excessively expensive either. On occasion I have even been on my own and just sat at the bar and haven't enjoyed it any less. A really, great place. Do yourself a favour and check it out (but not when it's busy).

This is a great bar just off chapel street. A good place to go if you want to get away from the noice of chapel street. The cocktails are great. I have also been there for a private function and the finger food that came around was great.

A great little, cosy yet classy bar. It's small and intimate and the little extravagant fittings makes it very special indeed.
Cocktails are wonderful but sometimes I get the other cocktail maker... hrm... but at its worse it's still good.

They offer a small tapas / bar food menu. Sometimes it is not available (kitchen staff on a break?!?!) In all fairness, staff are friendly and unpretentious.

Overall a nice escape from Chapel Street - recommended for a good night with the girls or a date - depending on how crowded it gets.

A small, intimate bar. Retro and funky.

Cocktails are sometimes really good, sometimes just good. Depends on who's making them.

What I really like is the atmosphere. Small and easy to meet people. You always get chatting.

Approximate cost: $15
