Probably one of the most popular cafes in Windsor. Always busy.

Food is really good. Great menu with plenty of choice. Wine list is plentiful. Seems to have been a while since they changed the menu, so if you're a regular you're probably tried most of it.

Ask about their oysters. They're often really good.

Beware, Sat and Sun could be hard to get a table and they make you stand on the street, which I hate. They really need somewhere better for people waiting for tables.

Also, if you're sitting outside on the street beware - only half of the outside tables are licensed. However, there is an outdoor area at the back - not sure if I should advertise this! I like the fact that you can generally get a seat outside and not on Chapel!

Really great burgers. Fresh and like you'd make at home if you could be bothered. And big - you can forget the chips if you like. Although the chips are really good too... thick and chunky. And there's a choice of dipping sauces. I'm all for the sweet chilli sauce.

A small, intimate bar. Retro and funky.

Cocktails are sometimes really good, sometimes just good. Depends on who's making them.

What I really like is the atmosphere. Small and easy to meet people. You always get chatting.

Really good cocktails. And great surroundings.

The thing I really like about this place is the fact that it is great for both summer and winter. For summer the terrace is the place to be. In winter, cosy up in the back bar.

The cocktail and wine list is great.

I like it in the afternoon. Before Chapel Street goes feral.

A great place to kick back for a late brunch or early lunch.

I hang out here quite a lot. It's one of those rare places you can go and hang out with a book and have a really good coffee and not get bothered.

The other thing I like is the freshness of the food. The quiches are particularly good, ask what's been freshly baked.

This review is for Vin-Cellar, Prahran VIC

verified email - 23 Nov 2007

My friend was more upset finishing her meal than finishing with her husband.

The food was WONDERFUL! My friend and I decided we needed a treat and had heard good things about Vin, so we put on our best and went along for a quick meal prior to going to a party.

We ended up late for the party as we couldn't bear to leave. I had the oxtail pie with lime (which was sublime!) and my friend had calamari (on finishing it was worse than finishing with her husband).

Despite being late we then had to have desert. And desert wine.

A perfect meal.

Quiet dinner and drinks with a friend.

Vodka etc was really great. Love the food, the atmosphere was great and overall a great experience.

We had the tapas type options (although given the food is Polish I'm not sure it's technically tapas, but you know what I mean). Lots of lovely tastes. I was impressed.

A group of 10 took off for a fun night, celebrating a birthday. Good fun was had by all. I think that's what this place is pretty much about - fun and food flinging.

I wasn't in love with the food. Thought it was good and fresh, but not as flavoursome as I had expected.

Would go again, especially with a group.

This review is for Elyse Cabinets, Dandenong VIC

I just had my kitchen totally renovated and Elyse built the cabinets for me. They also built a huge wall unit, both in 2 pac.

I'm really pleased with both. They were professional, patient (I couldn't make up my mind) and the quality of their work is brilliant.

This review is for Misty's 1950's Diner, Prahran VIC

I'm lucky enough to live up the road from Misty's and so end up there quite often.

First thing is the food... I've loved everything I've tried so far (chilli dogs, omlettes, burgers, chilli fries, steak sandwich to name a few). Everything is fresh, servings are HUGE and it's also really tasty.

Secondly the service. Misty is really friendly, as are her staff. She'll check you're happy with everything but not hang over you. Sometimes there's a bit of a wait, but when you consider that's because the food's made fresh you get over it pretty fast!

Third, the diner... being a local I've seen it get better and better. And more and more popular. People seem to relax there. It's America at it's best. No pretentions, just good finger linking food, to quote the Colonel.

Definitely worth visiting. In fact, you'll probably see me there!
