Best taters, plants, hot foods and a buzzing atmosphere - always good for a look whether it's tools, fresh produce or plants - I bought a native finger lime tree here (of all places) and I love it - the stallholders are nice and friendly and I always grab a bunch of flowers on my way out to brighten my home :)

Wonderful ballarat tradition.
Nice to have a walk around and look and everything from items for your house to parts for your car, collectables, clothes and more.
Money raised from gate donations goes to the local rotary :)

I wouldn't go every week, but it's nice to visit every so often. Some of the stalls would be a bit "same old" if you were there too often.

It is a great tradition. I like the indoor cafe and some of the handcrafts in the main building.

We go to the sunday market most weeks. Sometimes find something we like and other times come home with nothing

This place is a great Sunday visit every once in a while. I know a lot of people visit every single week but honestly you tend to see the same old stores trying to flog off the same old items and it would get pretty boring.

My best recommendation is wait for summer or for a good sunny weekend... if its raining then half the stall holders wont bother coming out, the best trash and treasures are when the whole outdoor areas are chock-o-block full with shall holders.

You never know what you'll find.

Not bad for a small market, but there is so much room to make it so much bigger. If you're heading there - grab a jam donut or 6! Highly reccomended!

Not particularly wonderful, mainly second hand goods that you would find in an op shop, with some good stands selling the usual goat milk soap and sausages.

This a great market! I've been a few times and each time manage to find something eg. childhood favorite movies on vhs, quality handmade soaps, vintage glassware, herb plants. It has many stall holders ranging from fresh fruit and vegetables, plants, 'car boot sale' type stalls, to video games, donut vans and indian food. It's a nice way to spend an hour or so on a Sunday morning!
