Balloon Adventures Barossa Valley

Had an amazing start to the morning floating over the Barossa. My family and a couple of friends decided to share this once in a lifetime experience together. That was short lived when my daughter got cold feet and decided not to join us. Disappointed we put her in the safe and capable hands of Jim who had a chat to her and managed to convince her that it wasn't so scary after all. So our Pilot Justin, safely landed the balloon and picked her up in Nuriootpa and we continued our flight now as a complete family, which meant an awful lot to us. That sums up the team at Barossa Balloon Adventures....nothing is too much trouble. They are all lovely people with a great sense of humour. The flight was so smooth and the view over the Barossa was breathtaking. After the flight we headed back to Peter Lehman's for a wonderful gourmet breakfast which topped off a fantastic morning. I would recommend this experience to anyone with Barossa Balloon Adventures. Thanks for creating a wonderful memory that will stay with me and my family for a lifetime.

My husband had planned to propose to me on a hot air balloon but being 37 weeks pregnant it wasn't possible.. So to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary we decided to do a hot air balloon ride. I would be lying if i said i wasn't scared to start with but we both loved the experience. The staff were absolutely amazing and the pilot's sense of humor had us laughing constantly.. The scenery was beautiful flying over the river murray, seeing kangaroos and the magical sunrise. The champagne breakfast was very good, sitting on the bank of the river with good quality home made food and a nice glass of bubbles! What a perfect morning..
We would definitely recommend to give it a go.

Hot air ballooning has always been on my bucket list. Finally getting to cross it off with Ballooning Adventures was amazing!! The experience is one of a kind! The staff were fun, friendly and very professional. They were efficient, organised and very safety conscious. Not to mention, they put on a fantastic champagne breakfast afterwards! Would definitely recommend this company to anyone. Im determined to go back for another flight!

What an experience! The Barossa Valley was beautiful on a perfect morning. Loved 'helping' to get the balloon off the ground and then to deflate it and pack it away later - a great way to have the whole experience of ballooning. Thanks to Justin for his very professional piloting and also a big thanks to John for the ground support and great breakfast.

It's the best experience of my life. Ya, I'll do it all over again. This is highly recommended to all. It''s not scary at all. It's honestly very calm, steady and enjoyable. A 'must do' in life. They are truly professional in all ways.

After meeting at Peter Lehmann's winery (Tanunda) The wind was checked and decided that the River Murray was the place to go and WOW, what can I say that has got to be one of the best adventures my partner and I have ever experienced, it was truly amazing:) The very professional service of Justin and his crew members John & Jim, and not forgetting Justin's wife for the beautiful champagne breakfast and added by their sense of humor, made this balloon ride most enjoyable. We highly recommend Balloon Adventures Barossa Valley to anyone!!! An experience definantly NOT to be missed:)

great experience with very friendly and well organised operators. Understandably an expensive activity, but it was well worth the cost. Would love to do it again, and the home made breakfast with lovely champagne was great!

My grandson and I shared this experience, one of the best things that we could have done together. The flight as the sun comes up is amazingly beautiful and serene, interupted only by the noise of the burners. Became a Balloonatic on the 11/04/2013. Accompanied Fatehr in Law on his Bucket List trip along with his Daughter.Fantastic experience. Justin the pilot is great. Ground crew member- sorry forgot your name, very generous and personable. I am looking forward to taking a few memebers of my family on a trip. Being up in the air, seemingly motionless, with no noise is an awesome experince- not to be missed

We were given a voucher for my 70th birthday and it was a fantastic experience,weather was perfect and the Pilot and partner very helpful and friendly.The flight over the Barossa valley was incredible,the landing was perfect and the breakfast,including a cake and candle rounded off a wonderful experience.I was promised a free flight for my 100th birthday

What a great experience!
From the pre-flight wind and safety checks to the actual flight, we could not fault a thing. It was evident that Justin is well experienced ballon pilot. We felt safe and were able to enjoy the flight.
After meeting up at Peter Lehmann's Winery, the wind was checked several times and a launch site was decided. The balloon was filled and launched from Marananga from where we slowly drifted across the landscape to Angaston for about an hour.There wasn't a great sunrise that morning but that didn't detract from the fun. I had no perception of the speed or height we were travelling as I took in all the sights, from the vineyards, farms and townships to the kangaroos, cats, foxes, rabbits and the ever present ground crew. I can't forget the photographer who ran everytime he got out of his car in an effort to get his shots, nor the adults and children who waved from their gardens and verandas so early in the morning.Then all too soon came the landing which was softer and easier than I thought it would be. After packing up the balloon we headed back to the winery for a much welcomed and enjoyable champaigne breakfast and to talk about our adventure.
We loved the flight and the early morning start added to the anticipation of it all, for me, not so much some of my companions. The only surprise for me was the 5-6 hours that we needed to set aside to do the balloon flight.
I highly recommend Balloon Adeventures to anyone who wishes to experience this safe and enjoyable activity.

In one word, awesome!! The pilot was knowledgable about the surrounds and I felt safe through the hour ride. The ground crew were friendly and humorous. What a day! Lots of laughs. We hadn't touched the ground when I wanted to go on other balloon ride.

Thanks to Justin, John and Jim- what an awesome day. The breakfast provided was pretty special too.

An amazing experience, it was my 70th birthday present, Justin, John & Jim perfect host. Even better a young couple proposed to make the trip superb. After a champagne breakfast & a surprise birthday cake for myself & a young lady. To finish a CD of photogragh's & a DVD of the experience. Take the plunge, I will do it again.

The most serene way of experiencing flight, open to the fresh air followed by a delcious breakfast to cure the hunger pangs of an early morning start!

Had a really Great time - if you haven't done it please consider it. I took my dad who was visiting from the UK. It was the highlight of his trip. We flew over the Barossa Valley then had a lovely breakfast in Peter Lehmanns winery. Balloon Adventures staff were fantastic and we had a great bunch of passengers to share the experience with. Will definitely go again.

Both my husband and I had a fantastic time flying with Balloon Adventures. It was a great experience and loved every minute of it.We felt safe and secure with the pilot, Justin and the basket was very comfy and cosy. Was great fly over he Barossa Valley and seeing it from a different perspective from the air. We would recommend Balloon Adventures to anyone who wishes to go ballooning.

A truly wonderful experience floating over the Barossa Valley. Justin ,John and Tamara did a wonderful job in the preparation of the flight and explained what they were doing at all times, at no stage did you feel unsafe. Justin was a competent pilot with a great sense of humor and was happy to answer any questions. This was a special occasion for my brother's 50th birthday and there was also 2 other people celebrating their 50ths as well, at the breakfast after the flight they had organized a birthday cake which was a nice personal touch. Thank you for an amazing morning!

A truly memorable experience. We were very fortunate to enjoy a balloon flight over the Murray River - at times you were so immersed in the serenity of the moment you felt you were literally floating on air ( until the quick roar of the burners reminded you that you were in the safety of a padded, very comfortable basket that was controlled by a very competent pilot.) We finished the morning by the banks of the river, with a glass of bubbles and a delicious breakfast.. we had an absolutely superb time. Thank you.

Very quickly we learnt how a hot air balloon works and from then on felt extremely comfortable & safe. One minute we were flying in the clouds & soon after skimming over tree tops watching kangaroos on the golf course & horses in their paddock. A wonderful experience in very capable hands. balloon riding at its best we were lucky with the weather, clouds made it more scenic . if you have never been in a balloon before you must go, the flight is peaceful and smooth, balloon adventures were very professional a perfect landing a breakfast included in the price...you can't go wrong
