Bar Indigo is always a great option for brunch especially on a sunny day. You can expect to wait for a table on weekends however the food is definitely worth it! It is on the expensive side however everything I've tried is very generous in portion size. This past weekend I had the breakfast bruschetta ($24) - bacon, poached eggs, tomato onion & avocado salsa, basil & balsamic reduction and it was delicious and fresh.

Went for a Mother's Day lunch, the food was amazing! Everything from the french toast to the salad, to the eggs! It was delicious! But very, very pricey. The overused "Double Bay, Double Pay" totally applies in this case. If they were to try a Groupon or Our Deal, their sales would go through the roof! Get affordable guys! :)

I went there with two other people and when their meals came out I was very impressed. However, I felt that my meal was a disappointment as Indigo seemed to have impressive presentation and generous portion size. My acai bowl was sub par. I felt like for the price I paid ($16.50) that I might as well have gone somewhere else instead.

It was served in a small soup bowl, and was a really runny mixture which tasted good but had the consistency of soup, which made it hard to eat. I'm used to a more solid version.

Also was disappointed by the one strawberry it came with when the menu said "served with fruit".

My friends' meals were delicious, though. The Reuben sandwich was absolutely massive and tasted great, and the mushroom omelette was also delicious.

Felt like I'd ordered the dud on the menu. Would definitely go back for the other food though.

Great little cafe in the heart of Double Bay. Great coffee. The menu is varied with weekly specials. The cafe has a great atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating which is rare nowadays. We bring the dog and everyone enjoys it. I went to their dinner test run and it had a delicious tapas menu. I hope they do go through with opening for dinner.

Bar Indigo is a great spot for an early morning coffee or breakfast. Friendly staff and a nice, simple menu. They offer both in-door and outdoor seating and the daily newspapers are always available for a quick read.

Approximate cost: $15.00
