After a weekend in Bendigo recently, this place seemed to be one of the very, very few places open in Bendigo for Sunday lunch. The food wasn't memorable, but the service was excellent. Somehow, excellent service can make an ordinary meal seem special, whereas terrible service can spoil the best of meals. Anyway. Hubby & I decided to go for the Tapas menu, ordering one of everything to start with. The pumpkin croquettes with goats cheese seemed to be missing the goats cheese, or anything else really to give it that little 'pop' of flavour which was sad because they were beautifully cooked. They were out of the pork hock croute with gribiche, which was disappointing; BUT they had a rare beef croute with horseradish instead, & I have to say that it was sensational!! The beef was perfectly sealed & I'm not usually a fan of horseradish, but this was something else. The chorizo montadito wasn't impressive, with the chorizo tasting a little like csabai more than chorizo. But the scallops with cauliflower puree were really nice, as was the pork belly with pumpkin puree. The little stuffed mushrooms were also pretty good & a perfect vegie, gluten-free option of people that might need it. We liked the beef croute so much we ordered another. It's not the most memorable meal we've had but it's certainly worth a trip; even if it's just for really friendly service, which I would definitely go back for.

eaten here once the service was very slow once meal arrived was very enjoyable but was a 40 minute wait to eat and they seemed to not care on people waiting food was good though wont go back here to eat as service was very poor

i had my 19th there and was very impressed.I booked for 25 people and they had more then enough room which was great because when you normally have a big booking you all get cramped. they fully accommodated my family and friends very well. everyone loved there meals and good drinks prices. they have a big list of cocktails, i tried one called Oscar and it was really nice.. the bar tender was good by helping me pick one i would like.i ordered lamb back strap as a special and it was amazing. my boyfriend got a seafood platter and couldn't eat it all as it was so big.very good service and food overall definitely a place to recommend.

went here about 6 months ago was a little disappointing with the service as we were forgotten about a few times and meals took over an hour to arrive but when the meals came they were amazing great food and cocktails

Have a massive range of cocktails to choose from. friendly staff and is a nice place to eat out :)

I've been here quite a few times and have always found the meals really tasty, reasonable prices and the staff friendly. I would recommend the BBQ Chicken Pizza and the chicken rissotto. Its a funky restaurant which has a great vibe. Also has outdoor seating and clean modern restrooms.

Good quality cafe meals that don't cost a fortune. Meal sizes are impressive - the Thai Curry was cooked really nicely with fresh ingredients. Menu could have more variety though. Service was a bit slow even though they didn't appear to be too busy. Can be difficult to find parking during the workday, I usually have to park a block or so away from this part of Bendigo.
