It was a rainy day in Nelson's Bay and the hunt was on for a Chocolate Cake for my mother in law's 60's birthday. Bayz Patisserie had a lovely selection of cakes to choose from decorated for boys and girls, and ready to take away, boxed up. It was a lovely soft sponge chocolate cake with pink writing. For a great price also. Although not a place with the space for a "chat over tea" that's what the water front offers on a sunny day.

An excellent local bakery that specialize in Traditional Organic Sourdough, Quality Cakes and Breads.
Staff are always up beat, happy and willing to help you in anyway possible.
Having won local business awards, I knew that this bakery was something special.
Cakes are delicious and the basic meat pie and sausage roll were just great.
I travel 2.5 hours to eat here and well worth it.
