As an alternative to Surfers Paradise, Coolangatta is a great place to visit and stay. You have a wide range of restaurants, cafes, bars and entertainment without the huge crowds and rowdy atmosphere. Also the beaches are better (proper breaks for surfers and calmer water for swimming).

I like the location of this resort, between Coolangatta Beach and Kirra. You are down the quiet end, but it is a short walk to the main strip in Coolangatta and restaurants in Kirra.

The hotel is great, though I have managed to get better deals at a few other hotels, while takes away some of the value for the Beach House Resort.

This is a great place for a holiday! Situated right in Coolangatta opposite the park & beach. All the rooms have fantastic sea views and apartments are spacious with balconys. It is a time share resort. The staff go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your holiday.
