It's a nice place, and very pleasant in the summer. Inside is quite crowded, and while the food is pretty good, the service is really hit and miss.

Food is excellent here, and the coffee is pretty good too. In summer it's lovely to sit outside, but inside can be very crowded and the tables are too small for two people to eat comfortably, really. Service tends to be a bit grumpy, but I think it's improving. Best to ring and book ahead, as you're unlikly to get a table otherwise at lunch times or on Saturdays.

Loads of shady outdoor seating and always busy in the mornings with young families, cyclists and friends.
The hot chocolate is delicious, and there is a wide variety of salads and baked goods on offer.
It's a perfect place to catch up with friends and family as there is plenty of free parking and the lake is just near by if you feel you need to walk it off afterwards.
