We had our work Christmas party at the zoo a few weeks ago and it was such an amazing experience. I hadn't been to the zoo for years and looking back I don't know why...

We basically had a "zooventure tour" where you get to have a European Brown Bear lick some very tasty mush off your hand, feed some meat to the tigers, pat the dingoes, feed carrots to the giraffes, and then feed some more meat to the lions.
The keeper that was guiding our group was really friendly, incredibly knowledgeable and was able to answer all of our questions (and there were lots!)

Then to top off the evening we had a buffet dinner (supplied by an external caterer) on the big cat walk. We were surrounded on three sides by the lions that started roaring as soon as the sun started to set.

Throughout the evening the keepers brought out a python, and a baby alligator for us to meet and pat (if you were brave enough)

It was a very surreal experience and one I would thoroughly recommend if you are thinking of holding a function.

I have eaten here several times over the years, and the food is consistently of a high standard. The pizzas have a wide range of toppings, and are fairly reasonably priced.
The staff are friendly and helpful. It does get packed out in the evenings and on the weekend, so book in advance for a table.

I went to a VIP Napoleon Perdis evening at Bentleys where a representive from the company presents all the latest products and methods for application.
It was such a wonderful night - there were approximately 25 people there, a large spread of cheese, dips and biscuits was laid out as well as champagne and orange juice.
The Napoleon Perdis rep ran the assembled masses through how the products can be applied, the benefits of each and was available to answer any questions we had afterwards.
There were products available for purchase afterwards - just in time for the Christmas party season to begin.
I'm not sure how often these evenings are run, but if you get in touch with the girls at Bentleys they will be able to update you with the details.
The cost of the evening is fully redeemable in product as well

Loads of shady outdoor seating and always busy in the mornings with young families, cyclists and friends.
The hot chocolate is delicious, and there is a wide variety of salads and baked goods on offer.
It's a perfect place to catch up with friends and family as there is plenty of free parking and the lake is just near by if you feel you need to walk it off afterwards.

The staff are friendly - and it gets packed on a Friday with all the tradies from the area grabbing a filling kebab.
If you are not sure what you want, or how to order, keep an eye on the people in the queue in front of you and try and keep up. I've been in and out of there in under a minute on busy Fridays!
They also have a halal butcher next door, so you are guaranteed a proper halal meal.

Offering pies, fresh made sandwiches, coffee and of course the regular bakery fare.
The staff here are all lovely, and are happy to accommodate sharing of a purchase between friends.
There is ample seating both inside and out, and it's a gorgeous place to sit and watch the world go by

I had a chicken schnitzel burger meal which was enormous - enough for two people to share, or just on your own if you have worked up a decent appetite!

We recently bought a Whopping big plasma and a stereo system from Ben
The service we received was exceptional - he was able to answer all of our questions (even the really dumb ones) and left us alone to have a chat to discuss the options when we said we would have a think about things.
