Love this place, lots of variety without too much, often free activities for the kids on a weekend and a fenced in playground for the kids to play on while you enjoy a warm cuppa from the French bakery.

I venture out to BFFM at least once a month or so; there is a lot of stores and a good variety, but it's never that busy so the atmosphere is a bit more relaxed than most markets. The markets are well laid out, basically a long line you walk down and by the end you're stocked up for the month.

A great selection of fruit and vegetables, and only a short walk from Westfield Belconnen/bus station. There are so many different stores for fruit and vegetables, meat (including fresh seafood and kangaroo meat etc), bakeries and specialist stores (such as delis and organic foods). The prices are great and the variety is better than any old supermarket. A worthwhile trip, though only open during selected days of the week.

Love these markets! Definitely check it out late on a Sunday afternoon for a bargain. There is a great variety of produce, meats and even a couple of cafes.

Definitely do a walk through before you buy - each place has its own specials. My personal favourite is a 5kg tub of greek yogurt for about $6 from Wiffens.

Love the selection of fresh food all in one place - fruit, veg, meat, bread and deli items. Often very reasonable prices compared to the large chains. Can be a little cold during the winter. Only open Wednesday-Sunday (until 6pm)

Whilst slightly dearer than fyshwick markets still a very good overall shopping experience, coffee was very good, health food good also

Looking for a new place to buy vegies whilst in Canberra. We found that the prices were lower than the major food chains and had a big variety of organic produce Excellent prices
