Had their teriyaki bento box for the lunch special. Portion was quite large for myself and was served quite quickly. Overall, really pleased with the experience!

Close to both RMIT & unimelb, Big Mama is popular amongst the locals and local student populace for its tasty and well priced dishes.
The food is reasonable, well portioned and good value.

Have to say- first time at a Korean place where they haven't given kimchi as a side
But all the food was really good- Defs on the heavier side so a good idea to share that one
Service was nonexistent which was a pain and the banchan took quite a while to get to us. But they were really busy so I'll give them that

the chili chicken karage's to die for and it's so filling! affordable prices, close location to universities, prompt and friendly staff and service and i'm also a fan of the side dishes that they give away for extra

Went to try on Big Mama Korean/Japanese restaurant as location is convenient. If you take any trams from Flinders St, it stops right in front of it. It's near to Melbourne Central, RMIT & Melbourne universities and shops.

Try the Budae Jigae (Sausage Kimchew stew) that comes with sausages, noodles, kimchi, onions and tofu in the spicy stew. Love it! It costs around $20+ but good enough for 3 of us to eat and we can't even finish it. The Chicken Karaage which is the korean style fried chicken is good too, portion is huge.
Place is quiet and nice. Service and pricing is good.

Approximate cost: $20.00 per pax

Ate there several times. Really friendly stuffs, very reasonably priced and the food served taste and looked pretty decent. Portion size was pretty big as well! Very popular with the students that are studying in the nearby RMIT and Mel university.

Approximate cost: $25

i lovee this place! :D the food is gorgeous, the small dishes can be "refill" for how many times you wish. the foods are good, quite of traditional korea food. The taufu is a must to order! and the price is reasonable too.

But the place is quite small that should have make a booking before you go :))

remember to ask for kimchee small dishes (it's FREE) because they wont serve you with that if you dint ask for it! :)

Approximate cost: $12
