A really lovely traditional french bistro. The setting is very classy and posh, yet not too 'shiny' or flamboyant. The staff are really lovely, attentive and professional and quite knowledgeable about the food and wine list. Towards the end of our meal, the sommelier came over for a brief followup on our drinks to check that we had enjoyed it, as well as provide a brief history and background on the liquids used in the mixing and choice of liquids.

One of many of Shannon Bennet's restaurants. This lovely french Bistro is a wonderful place for a semi formal occasion, celebration or just a great place for a nice dinner.
Bistro Vue is one of Shannon's more traditional restaurants.
My friend and I ventured out the city to dine here and it was a quiet evening there I was expecting it to be busier but maybe the weather had something to do with that.

I was expecting big things from this place and whilst my experience was good it was not as good as I expected.
The food was yummy but my lamb was below the temperature it should have been. My friend loved his truffle pasta, french onion soup.
The chocolate souffle was to die for very rich and very good and I haven't had a better one since. They gave us free madelines which were yummy.
Overall I would come here again for a lovely french meal.
Now that Vue De Monde has moved to the Rialto towers Bistro Vue is now using the space where it used to be.

Good quality, good variety French bistro food,. Slightly above average prices. Attractive venue with some odd furniture including table tops made from a former parquetry floor

Service was great however I found the main portion sizes rather small. I ordered the soft shell crab as entree followed by the seafood pasta. The mussels and clams were a joke. The size of each mussel was smaller than my fingernails. Honestly, I expected more from this restaurant. The food was tasty but I felt for this price point I was expecting a little more.
A good romantic French restaurant all the same... Just expect small portion sizes.

Approximate cost: $35

Lovely setting for a celebratory dinner with friends. Interesting food and wines, and a sense of 'special occasion' without being too snooty. Everyone I dined with enjoyed themselves. Good alternative to Vue de Monde at a reasonable price.

Approximate cost: $35

The bistro forms the middle rung of this culinary ladder, offering an a la carte alternative to the cafe's jaffles and gourmet lunchboxes, while still staying joyfully accessible for an everyday meal.

Approximate cost: $20-$38
