The staff in this hospital are very caring, knowledgeable and really do love your pet as much as you do. The looked after my dog who was in intensive care for three days fighting for her life after a Brown Snake bite. The staff kept in touch with me on a regular basis, even after hours when there was an issue I needed to know about. I wish my doctor was this genuinely caring! I have no hesitation about recommending this vet hospital. Your pet will be in the best of hands 24/7/365. No worries.

Booval Veterinary Hospital - all staff are terrific with the animals, including receptionists. It's obvious everyone here loves what they do, as service is always great.

After TERRIBLE treatment for my dog at AWL IPSWICH. I took my dog to Booval Vet. I found the Vet Scott to be great. he was very helpful and truthful about my dogs situation. yes they are more expensive that some vets however there service and care is impeccable. I dont know if my dog will survive, but i know he is getting the very best care.

Approximate cost: $800+

I had issues with one of my snakes and I took her there and one of the vets with reptile experience helped me with my problem and they were very caring about my snake and gave me what I need for her.

As a human physician I recently took my dog to Booval after a minor car accident. She was limping and had a painful stomach. I became skeptical when Dr. Render only offered one course of action to help my dog (an extremely expensive action, that sounded more than I would do for a person). He wanted to do exploratory surgery on a dog in shock (would NEVER do this on a human), and was discussing pinning the leg before x-rays had even been done. I went to another vet for a second oppinion, and found that they were happy to do x-rays and an ultrasound more cheaply (they gave me a few different options, and an honest oppinion of possible outcomes). The other vet were also happy for me to visit my dog as often as I liked while he was there (which suited my 12yr old daughter).
The other vet did x-rays and casted and splinted a minor fracture, and did an ultrasound and monitorred my dog for signs of internal damage over the following 24hrs while treating his shock (i.e. they did not opperate on my dog because it was not necessary).
The final bill from the other vet was cheaper than the quote given for innitial treatment by Booval.
I want open honesty from the people who provide healthcare to my family - not one-option-only commands that sound absurd.
My dog is now back to normal and doing very well - not even a limp!
