Great place to go for some home cooked Italian food. Excellent pasta in cozy and homey surroundings. There are a few tables out the front to sit at and enjoy the happenings of View street.
This restaurant is close to the Art Gallery and The Capital Theatre so it's great for dinner before a show or a coffee afterwards. The coffee is excellent too.
If you want somewhere small, friendly and service with a smile, give this restaurant a try.

We dropped in just for coffee and cake on a sunday and found it to be delightful.
The waitress on the day gave great service. We were very happy with the coffee and the cake's we split and shared between us, the lemon tart was full of lemon flavour and the baked cheesecake was nice and creamy.
I wanted to see the pasta menu, so will be returning for that one day.
Lovely cosy ambience, was lucky enough to snag one of the last tables available; but even though she was run off her feet, the waitress was calm, professional and friendly.
Food was great, both pasta dishes we ordered were generous with both the ingredients they used, and also in the actual portion sizes.
The chocolate brulee with a shiraz sorbet that we ordered as a dessert was absolutely amazing. Highly recommended; the presentation was beautiful and the brulee itself was great, the top just brittle enough and the centre creamy and delicious. The shiraz sorbet provided the perfect foil, with its tartness a great counterpart to the sweetness of the dish.
Value-wise it was a great meal, especially given the unexpected but pleasant surprise of a lunchtime special (weekdays only) of any pasta or risotto, and any drink of your choice, for only $22.
Traditional Italian dishes at great prices - love the lasagna and tiramisu. Generous servings. Good customer service and delicious coffee and cakes :)
This restaurant has some very good reasonably priced meals and is in a good location close to Art Gallery and Theatre. The food is definitely worth going for but the thing that really lets it down is the wine list which features very few if any local wines . This is a pity given that Bendigo is in a great wine area and they would compliment the food . Last time I went they had 2 sittings-at 6pm and 8pm which is a system that seemed to work quite well really.

I ate at Borchelli Ristorante regularly whilst working in town. The food is fantastic, its great value and the staff always have a smile for you. Love the coffee as well!
I WENT OUT FOR DINNER HERE ON A SATURDAY NIGHT, AND WAS SURPRISED THAT I COULD GET A TABLE WITHOUT BOOKING IN ADVANCE. THE MEAL WAS EXCELLENT, REASONABLY PRICED, USED FRESH INGREDIENTS (WELL TASTED FRESH TO ME) STAFF WERE VERY HELPFUL
