Quality service, value, open area to enjoy your food & coffee inside, surrounded by amazing street art & a relaxed atmosphere.

The coffee is good, and the location is perfect for grabbing a quick coffee in town, but I just find it way too noisy. The stools are uncomfortable and it's always too crowded for me. For coffee lovers, it's a yes, but for lovers of comfort and a cozy atmosphere it gets the thumbs down from me. I loved the previous store, so am looking forward to seeing what the new Kennington cafe and bar will be like.

I am very fussy when it comes to coffee, I go from café to café searching for the best, and the Brewhouse is one of the best ! Their coffee is amazing, the food is beautiful and well priced. My daughter absolutely loves their Hot Chocolate. Great for cold winter days . It's a very busy place, but they always seem to have a seat for you, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. :)

I would suggest booking as we struggled to get a seat at lunch time but managed to be seated on one of their large communal tables. The interior has an industrial warehouse feel. Not a huge range on the menu but they do have a variety of breakfast options and all day breakfast. I would recommend the Thai Beef Salad ($19.50) which was nice. I would also suggest sharing the Kryptonite Bread ($14.50). Coffee is good. They also have a range of their coffee beans for purchase ($14 for 250g).

The Brewhouse do their own coffee so we thought we might stop in and try it out.

First impressions when you walk in are that the interior decor is interesting . . . it is basically a warehouse factory that has been transformed into a cafe. The kitchen area is actually an old shipping container. The walls have graffiti style murals on them which actually makes the place seem more 'chic' and sophisticated. The tables are all a rustic wooden look with wooden stool chairs.

We ordered our coffees and while we enjoyed the taste, I would have preferred the coffees to be hotter. We could basically drink them as soon as they were served. I'm not sure if they are are always like this as this was the only time I have been here and they were very very busy.

The cafe had some various slices, cakes and muffins available, along with a small but adequate menu. We didn't order any food however the cafe was full of people enjoying bacon and egg type breakfast dishes.

All of the staff were friendly and welcoming and we were served relatively quickly.

The only issue is that finding close parking around that part of Hargreaves Street/Bath Lane can be difficult.

They have recently relocated from Golden Square, to this much more convenient location. The new venue is a more cosy, trendy place with the comfort of A/C & heating for different weather conditions. The graffiti-decorated walls are an interesting touch, in keeping with the quirky nature of the establishment, and its bare, stripped-back decor makes the space feel bigger. It's a comfortable place to catch up with friends, and you can tell thought has gone into the furnishings, from the lights to the tables and chairs.

Service is alright, not overly friendly or solicitous, but as it is a cafe we didn't have very high expectations.

Quality of the coffee here is pretty good, and they roast their own, which makes it a little bit more special.

The menus for both food and drinks remain much the same. It is good but would benefit from a bit more variety, as there aren't many choices beyond the basics.

Hopefully we see some changes on this front in the future, it's got great potential, nestled right in the heart of Bendigo.

Approximate cost: $Less than $20
