My dress was a huge challenge since I had lost a lot of weight, and it felt impossible to fix due to how large it had become. But they worked their magic, and now it fits perfectly.

Susie helped me with my wedding dress alterations, I was also a pregnant bride so was feeling a little stressed about my sizing going up as my tummy was growing. Susie went above and beyond to make sure everything would fit on the day, she is very genunie and will be very honest. I put all my trust into her and I’m glad I did my dress was very comfortable and altered so well! Highly recommend for wedding dress alterations :)

The two seamstresses here were very professional and did an amazing job altering my bridal gown to fit me. My dress was incredibly ornate and delicate. I recommend their services.

Susie and Cecilia were amazing! They worked magic on my dress. I bought a size 14 off Still White thinking it would be easy to take it in (I'm a size 10ish). Little did I realise they would need to reconstruct the entire bodice to fit me and do a lot of structural work to the dress. Which they did and it now fits me like a glove and they took every single details of the dress very seriously. They have an amazing eye for detail and saw things I didn't even see! Thank you Susie and Cecilia! You're life savers and dress wizards!

Susie and Cecilia were incredible, I could not recommend them more highly! My dress needed a fair amount of work as my body had changed in the months since purchasing. They made me feel so comfortable at every appointment, problem-solved along the way to ensure no detail of the dress was ever compromised and even showed me how to tape my bust and sit/move around in the dress on the day! I was so happy with the finished product so can't thank them enough.

Susie & Cecilia were simply wonderful to deal with - they came recommended from a friend and I can see why! They have an incredible eye for detail and the work was flawless - the dress fit like a dream. They had helpful advice about where to get the dress cleaned (as it was purchased off the rack), and went over and above to make sure my dress was ready for a car ride to Adelaide. They were efficient and highly responsive, with the final bill coming in less than quoted (always a bonus!). Would recommend them without hesitation!

I’ve been meaning to write this review for 5 years now (oops!) The Brides of Brighton were so helpful and accommodating when I got married in 2017. I’d put off finding a dress and finally bought one in a sample sale which required a new zip, buttons, hemming, train bustle and (due to pre wedding stress) a little extra widening to accommodate my hips. I had a tight 4 week turnaround & the ladies not only fit me in but were a pleasure to deal with, came in under quote and the sewing work was flawless.

Susie and Cecilia did such an amazing job with my dress, I couldn't be happier! They were so easy to deal with and responsive. They charged me half the amount that I was quoted elsewhere which was the store that I bought my dress from, and honestly, they had a better eye and expertise for the alterations required than the tailor that alters these dresses all the time as well. I had my first appt a month before my wedding date and they were still able to finish it in time for me. I couldn't recommend them highly enough, they were just so lovely and unbelievable in what they do! Thank you

Susie was so pleasant to deal with. Went above and beyond to make sure the alterations to my delicate wedding dress were absolutely perfect.

I purchased the Macpherson dress from Kyha Studios, they recommended Brides of Brighton as one of the alterations specialists for their dresses.
I contacted Susie immediately to book in a consultation for alterations 3 months out from my wedding. Susie was very organised and professional and all the following appointments were locked in to ensure my dress was ready for the big day. Susie and her colleague Cecilia were great to deal with, they knew exactly what they were doing and the necessary changes required for my dress to fit me perfectly, which they did.
They were also incredibly helpful with how to package up the dress, how to steam it and use of the bustle for later in the evening. I was impressed with their work, their professionalism and their help, I highly recommend them.

Quite simply, Susie and Celia took my second hand dress and made it so it felt like it was made for me. I felt like a queen on the day! The way they could deconstruct the dress in their minds and suggest changes to create what I wanted was astounding and reflected the decades and decades of experience they have. Not only were they incredibly knowledgable and precise but they were beyond patient - not only with me but with the whole covid process. Susie stored my dress for all of 2020, waiting for me to have a new date. Then we had to do all my fittings again (I was previously only 3 weeks out from my wedding date in 2020 when the world imploded) and they didn't charge me more than the original 2019 quote. What angels!! These are the women to entrust with the most expensive dress you'll ever wear.

The ladies at Brides of Brighton are amazing at what they do. I first engaged Susie and Cecilia to alter my wedding dress in 2020. At the time it was much too long for my 5ft2 height and had a long train that needed to be adjusted accordingly. Their attention to detail and skill in altering the dress was fantastic and I finished up with a gorgeous dress for my wedding ceremony. Fast forward a year and I brought the same dress back to be altered for my covid-delayed reception. This time I was rocking a new postpartum body and wanted the dress shortened so it would be easy to dance in. Not only were they able to refashion the dress to fit my new shape, they perfectly executed the vision I had for the shortened skirt. Even more impressive they did all this in a 3 week period. The end result was beautiful. I had so many compliments on the day and felt amazing in the dress. I absolutely would recommend Susie and Cecilia.
