Susie and Cecilia were amazing! They were so thorough and thoughtful and were a delight to deal with. I am so excited to wear my dress, which is perfect after the alterations they did. Could not recommend them more. They were also very reasonably priced for the work they did.

With such intricate details, my dress was not easy to alter but they gave it so much tender loving care and it fit me perfectly like a glove. Such lovely people to deal with and would recommend to any bride needing alterations!

I took a leap of faith going with Brides of Brighton as I didn't know anyone who had used them before. Safe to say, I was very happy with their service. Susie and Cecilia were lovely to deal with - extremely calm, personable, patient and professional. From the start, they made me feel very at ease and I knew that my dress was in safe hands. Not only did they come across highly experienced but they made the whole process enjoyable with their calm and understated approach. They had lots of great suggestions and were really helpful without being pushy. I would go back to them in a heartbeat & highly recommend them to anyone looking for some first class bridal alterations!

I bought a dress off the rack that was made to a size 8 and needed it taken in. Took it to Susie & Cecilia and they worked with me over the months leading up to my wedding to get it fitting perfectly. The fabric was pretty intricate so I was worried about it being altered too much, but they made me feel so comforted in a really hectic time and I couldn't have been happier on the day. I got soooo many compliments on my dress, can't thank you guys enough. Thanks S&C for taking the stress out of what was a really stressful time!

I cringe everytime I look at my sleeve on my wedding videos and photos... the rest of the gown fitted well but one of my sleeves kept falling off. I trusted the team too much, I didn't try on my gown before the wedding day (Mind you, it's part of our wedding tradition to never try your final gown on). I thought it would be the perfect fit since I've had about three fittings prior but ended up being disappointed on the day. And, unfortunately, it's a day I can never bring back. I was quite surprised too that on the day we agreed that my gown was ready, it was all bundled up ready for me to take home so I assumed it was all good. I paid a fortune after all (Almost $900 if I'm not mistaken). So just a heads up to anyone to never pick up your gown if you're not 101% sure that it's the perfect fit.
Oh my goodness, Jonah. Thank you for emailing me with your photo . It was a great relief to see that the sleeve had not actually fallen off the dress! But the shoulder of the dress slipped off your shoulder which is not good.
Clearly you are distressed and disappointed and we are very sorry to be the cause.
Your negative review is our first. Wearing a wedding dress is a one off event, hard for one to anticipate all the extra kit needed to get a great look. We see it as our responsibility to draw the clients attention to as many important details as we can, and I apologize that we have not succeeded in that.
I can see how this is happening, judging from the photo, and it is a lesson for us to be sure to explain about body tape.
Hollywood tape on the shoulders of a low cut bodice in a non stretch fabric helps keeps the dress secure on the shoulders and deals with the natural downward slope of the shoulder. We always recommend this but evidently in this instance we did not.
Also, on hindsight, this tape would have been especially useful for you because your tight sleeve is non-stretch also, and bending your arm at elbow has made the fabric pull taut along the length between elbow and back armhole area, and encouraged the dress shoulder to move further off your shoulder. Although the sleeves looked nicer when narrow, it means that you have limited movement. You will probably remember our concerns about this at your third fitting before we did the final narrowing.
Readers, just one further comment I feel I must make I am not sure what bundle up means. We really to do try to look after our clients needs and try to present a well fitting dress, pressed, hung and ready to wear .

Susie and Cecilia are real life fairy god mothers. Thank you so much for all the work you put into my bridal gown. I was so impressed with their service that I had my 2nd reception dress and my maid of honor dress altered also by Susie and Cecilia. I had so much compliments on my dress and my maid of honor's dress. I can't thank you enough for your kind advise and hospitality during the whole process. You made the experience truly memorable. I will definitely be taking all my gowns for alteration to them in future.
