My Jacket is returned from “dry cleaning” at Brown Gouge, The Glen, Glen Waverley, in EXACTLY the same condition: i.e.
The spot pointed out to the dry cleaner for particular attention is totally untouched, as is the rest of the garment.

SAVE YOUR MONEY !!
GO SOMEWHERE ELSE WHERE THEY MIGHT ACTUALLY CLEAN !!

I have used this dry cleaning business on a number of occasions over the past 5 years. Most items have been business jackets and pants - which were cleaned and pressed to a high standard. I have not used this business for delicates or evening wear so I can not compare to the experiences of other reviewers. During the times I have attended here, their pricing has been consistent. I have also had a pair of pants shortened here - the staff member was patient, professional and made sure we got the right length. Overall, my experience with this business has been great and do not have any reason not to frequent them again.

DO NOT GO HERE. Absolutely shocking service. I dropped off a white evening gown to be cleaned and when I returned to pick it up, a day later than the ready date on my slip, my dress was not there nor did they know where it was.. after calling around, they found it had been sent to one of their other stores. I needed to wear it that day and had no time to wait or drive around to their other store and they were not apologetic at all. Their customers are always treated like an imposition. After calling the manager, they agreed to refund me the cleaning fee and have my dress ready for me at this store two days later. When I returned to pick it up, I was horrified to see my $1000 dress on the floor of the store behind the counter - they then rolled it up into a ball and shoved it at me in a dirty, old Target bag. As well as being crushed and wrinkled, the dress was dirtier than when I dropped it off, including a yellow food-like stain on the front and what looks like shoe prints.. which would make sense since it was being stored on the floor. This was honestly one of the worst cleaning experiences I have ever had and I will never return. The store is doing the reputable Brown Gouge brand a massive disservice and should be shutdown.
In addition, never go there in a hurry at 9am - they are never, ever open on time. You'll be lucky if anyone is there before 10am, and they never apologise for making you wait.

We have tried these drycleaners a number of times as they are our closest. What really bugs us is that they are never consistent with their pricing and in comparison to other drycleaners we have used they are pretty expensive. They also seem to always be rushed and not really interested in the customer (except their money). The drycleaning itself is average - one of my casual jackets came back with new stains and a ticket saying that they couldn't remove them - but they were obviously caused by some sort of bleach type product (ie the new spots were pink on my grey jacket ?!!). Poor service and high prices - not our choice anymore.

Approximate cost: $High
