Daniel came to my house and changed 4 taps for me, I could see one set was very difficult, as it had been completely covered in cement.
He took his time, put lots of dust sheets down, and chipped the old taps out without breaking any tiles.

Had Danny come out to our kennels in southern river, our business prides itself in being spotless.
We needed multiple taps and pipes installed but didn't want to see pipes everywhere that the dogs could chew.
The work performed was beautiful every pipe was fixed out of sight . It was done late on a Friday afternoon and much to my horror he refused multiple offers of a cold beer. As a former metal worker I was impressed with his tube bending skills. Nice one mate. Fast and cheap.

Phoned Jim and Danny at a very difficult time, had planned a gathering at my house for after my fathers funeral.
My very old hot water tank had finally given up.
I had used Jim many times over the years and gave him a call very late at night.
Danny came out the following morning at 6am changed the water heater over, letting me pay the following week.
He also put some new lightbulbs in for me, and carried in some chairs from the garage.
Many thanks Danny I would reccomemend to any OAP in good times or bad.

I usually only post good reviews but this one is a cautionary tale I had to share.

Like others here I received a "fixed price" which turned out to be triple. There's some fairness here - they fitted wastes to a new sink and connected up a dishwasher as well as the requested job of disconnecting an old hotplate and installing a new one. However at no time did they say "ah, we'll do this extra stuff and it will cost $xx".

They also slammed my choice of tapsets and sink/wastes and complained long and loud about how poor quality everything was. I can only think a competent person would just get on with the job instead of blaming equipment.

All this I could just have dismissed as Tradie rubbish. However the older guy cornered me as they "finished" the job, hit me with the triple cost and suggested I pay cash to avoid GST. I said I didn't carry that kind of money on me, so they said they would "escort me to the ATM" to collect it now. Which they did. No invoice and no receipt. Nice one, Mr Tax Man. I shouldn't have complied with this but I felt put on the spot, upset with their behaviour and pretty intimidated by now.

Had to get them back twice - gas smell in the kitchen, water under the kitchen sink and the wastes not sealing properly. All of this apparently wasn't their fault either - they had an excuse or something/one to blame for everything.

They refused to refund me for the additional wastes I bought ( the original ones which were shipped iwth the sink I took back to the store, who told me the fittings were correct and the bolt needed was shipped with the sink itself rather than the waste - how the heck was I to know this?!). The ones they installed did not seal properly so I would have expected a refund. It turns out the new ones don't either .. and now they are happy to blame the manufacturer.

I'm leaving a lot of the detail out but these are the salient points. I would never use these people again.

Also .. my dogs hated both of them on sight, while never once growling at any of the other tradies I've had in the house!

These guys quoted "fixed price" over the phone that turned out to be $100 for 15 minutes work because they hardly did anything. Their "fixed price" also was more than their quote due to unforeseen things (they seemed very busy over the phone and not interested to provide a proper quote).

And their overall quote was $200 more than over the phone because they conveniently "misheard" what I told them. So I decided to go elsewhere for the larger work.

The older plumber was also pretty rude and just kept demanding his money and wanting to leave, although the younger one was still working out the quote.

I'd stay away from them and only use them if 10 other plumbers you called are busy.

Browne plumbing fitted a new gas storage hot water system, capped off my old broken solar h/w system, plumbed in my dishwasher (no exsisting conections) and plumbed in my fridge. Jim is a fantastic guy that performs faultless work. Neat and tidy, on time and by far the best price around. I would recommend to everybody.
