i just switched to another company as this mob put my insurance up over 50.00 just because of a suburb change have you heard of any thing more stupid in fact i moved to a much more secure and upmarket area in brisbane very low crime rate none at all is what ive heard and they use this as an excuse the value of my car went down and so should the insurance cost what else can they charge you for these days

We too had a similar experience (with another insurer) that raised our premium based on the suburb in which we live. Much like yourself, we had moved to a more up market area, with improved security however our premium was astonishingly increased by $100-.
