LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. Frist and foremost BYO wine!!! Can't go wrong. Us girls have been coming here for the last 5 years. It's our go-to birthday place. Any item on the menu is divine. We all have our favourites! The staff know us well now. The prices are not too bad though we make the most of online vouchers when they pop up. TOTES RECOMMEND

I received a voucher for Bugzies for christmas for their seafood platter with a bottle of wine. It was great sized platter with a good selection of both hot and cold seafood and a decent bottle of wine. It was by no means fantastic or the best seafood I have had but it was nice and no real faults. I like the fact that they also have a kids menu for under 5s as I often find that kids menus or only for kids under 12 and they can be expensive for the amount of food my daughter will eat. Their desserts are also great and ours came with an accompanying shot of baileys.

We got a voucher online for $59 (half price), which gave us a seafood platter for 2 and a bottle of wine. We ordered garlic bread before the platter came out, and the garlic bread was very, very good. The thing I hate about most seafood platters is that almost all of it is usually deep fried. NOT this one!!!! This platter had all fresh seafood and nothing was deep fried (except the chips, of course), if it was hot it was grilled. It also had a very large variety of seafood on the platter including; oysters, prawns, fish, bugs, lobster, calamari and octopus.

This is one of the best seafood platters we have ever had, and we will definitely be back again!!!

The first time we had the 4 person seafood platter (1.5-2 years ago) it was so amazing and set out so beautifully it was worth photographing. Unfortunately in late October 2012 it was just a big mess. Not to mention they actually forgot out order initially (probably why it was a big mess). I might give it another go but if it's as big of a mess as in October I won't be going back again.

We were looking forward to our meal at Bugzies after a great first experience earlier this year. Unfortunately we were extremely let down right across the board this time! It was a Wednesday night & the restaurant wasn't overly busy. There were three of us dining at our table ... myself, my husband & our son. After being seated by an abrupt waitress & having our order taken by a waiter with zero personality; our meal took an hour to get to the table ... only after we got fed up & asked where it was. Explanation: our order had been lost with little apology for the wait ... thanks for letting us know! We had a voucher for 2 for a fresh catch seafood platter with bottle of wine & we brought our son his own meal. The wine on offer was cheap Bowlers Run Chardonnay, put aside for voucher users no doubt as it wasn't on the wine list. The seafood (with a few exceptions) was anything but fresh, lobster had frozen taste. Our son's meal of 1 lamb shank & mash at $38 was overpriced, tasteless, tough & cold. When asked how our meal was, my husband replied; not very good but apparently the waiter didn't have his listening ears on & only heard "very good" responding with an automatic; "very good sir" ... DOH!!! We will not be going back again.

Approximate cost: $30-$40

This is the restaurant I have eaten at the most in the past 12 years on the Coast. Delivers every time. Consistent after approx 30 visits. Usually order chicken bugzies, although we have had the seafood platters a few times. I cannot recall a single mistake of food or drink orders sofar. Thanks guys and keep it up. See you soon.

The seafood is always fresh and tasty. There are non-seafood options on the menu as well. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. They have a beautiful outdoor eating area which makes for a perfect Sunday lunch near the water.
