Visited this play centre for the first time today, found it had both good and bad points.

The food was ok, chips were quite nice but they sell those awful nuggets that look and taste like they are made from fatty scraps. I ate one but the kids wouldn't touch them.

The first coffee was not bad, but the following 2 were pretty sad.

I found the toddler area to be very clean, but the rest of the centre was a bit lacking. The carpets clearly don't get done on a daily basis and the sponge/netting on the play structures really needs to be replaced/fixed. There were even a couple of those terrible nuggets on top of the netting.

The main two reasons we gave it a go was they offer free wifi and have xbox consoles for the kids to play. Neither of these were working.

Even noticed that they couldn't be bothered replacing the batteries in their clocks.

The managers need to understand that when you employ teenagers and leave them to work alone, you get the work ethic of a teenager who has been left alone.

Really not keen on going back.

Approximate cost: $6

Hi JonesyAU, thanks for the heads-up! Unfortunately, as you have discovered, many indoor playgrounds are plagued with the same problems. Eg. Insufficient maintenance, inadequate cleaning and incompetent (lazy) staff. Employing teenagers is not without risk, although not all are ‘tarred with the one brush’. Hopefully, management will take note of the areas that need improving and will work toward making Bumblebeez a better place for both children and their (paying) parents. Regards, Reeces

What a disappointment. After reading the review on here I thought this place would be amazing. Wasn't one of the cleanest places, the couches were absolutely putrid. I would hate to think what was living on them. Service was appalling. Waited over 20 minutes for a cup of coffee and then it was served barely filling the cup and luke warm. Ordered food and waited over 45 minutes. When we asked 20 minutes into our wait we were told they were too busy and hadn't even started our order yet??? When our order finally came we were missing chips. That then took another 20 minutes to get them. We could see the 2 young girls talking about us becuse we had questioned the whereabouts of our food. They close the kitchen/front counter when they get too many orders and you need to go back later when they aren't busy, mind you I only seen 3 people actually order anything. Very very disappointed. Only good thing about the place was the free Wiifi but still not enough to get me to go back there again.

Approximate cost: $7

Appreciated your comments, which seem to mirror the experiences of other (dissatisfied) customers. We were surprised to hear that the business in question prefers to close the kitchen and front desk whenever they become ‘too busy’ instead of simply employing additional (or more competent) staff. Seems strange. Given the unprofessional and incompetent level of service, I doubt we will be rushing to visit this establishment any time soon. Thanks for the heads-up! Reeces

Must be fairly new..or they keep in extremely clean. Loved the Hygiene and the fact that there is free wireless internet. The only bad part was the kitchen was run by teenagers who weren't good with sandwiches and took ages to serve. The coffee was good though.

Approximate cost: $5.00
