I contacted Bunneys on a Wednesday afternoon at 4.30pm to ask whether they had a particular part for a washing machine & what the cost of it was. The man I spoke to advised they had the part and it was $19. I decided to pick it up the following day as he told me they close at 5pm and I knew I would be pushed to make it on time. I went to Bunneys the following day at 11.30am to purchase the part. When I went to pay for it, I was told it was $33. I advised the young man that I had called the previous afternoon and was told it was $19 and that I didn't however get the mans name but that I had called at 4.30pm and it would have been whoever was answering the phones at that time. The person that 'ran the place' happened to be there and the first thing he said to me was that 'there was no way' he was going to sell it to me for $19. I asked him if he could please confirm with the person I had spoken to the previous afternoon as to what he had quoted me as I could have purchased it online for $20 including delivery instead of driving there to buy it for $33. I also told him I had organised for someone to be at my house in the afternoon to fit the part. He asked me if I had obtained the name of the person I spoke to (he knew I didn't have a name because he had just heard me say it), as without a name he would not know who it would be as he had 25 staff. There was only 2 people behind the counter (not including the guy running the place that was on the customer side of the counter) the day I went to purchase the item and his 25 staff would include service staff that do actual repairs and wouldn't be on site at the store. 25 people also do not fit behind the counter. I do hold myself responsible for not obtaining the mans name I had spoken to the previous afternoon, however I would not have been so upset with the whole experience had the person 'running the place' been a little more sympathetic or sincerely apologetic with the situation. He dealt with it unprofessionally and had a non caring attitude. I walked out so upset and called out that I would never come back to purchase anything from them again. I have once before purchased a part from there & did pay an extra $15 for it compared to what some other suppliers were selling it for but needed the part and had to buy it. I also should have been skeptical about the $19 I was quoted as Bunneys have been more expensive on a further 2 occasions when obtaining a quote for parts. The lessons learned from this experience is 'ALWAYS' get a name of whom you spoke to, if they haven't been competitively priced on other occasions then they probably won't be again. I might also add that had the person 'running the place' had a bit of tact, I would have bought the part anyway. After the attitude I received I was not going to give them my money & would rather have wasted more time trying to find a part somewhere else and give the business to someone else that deserved it. Anyway, I purchased the part from ebay for the $20 including delivery but just won't receive it till Monday now. Please note that the 2 staff behind the counter appeared to actually be nice.

I needed the lamp for my Whirlpool fridge urgently and found it only at Bunney's Appliance store. It is quite hard to get some specific appliance quickly, but they've done a good job.
