Staff were friendly and the food was great however we found a piece of clear plastic container in the salad that came with the pork belly. We then told a staff member to let the staff in the kitchen know about it so they’d be more careful next time. The staff were apologetic to us about it so thats alright and carried on with our meal. As we were paying I feel like the person behind the counter (whoever he was, manager?) was thinking that we were going to ask for some sort of compensation. This was not the case for us at all! we really just want to give them a message that they should pay more attention in handling their food. And the guy from the counter did not even acknowledge this and was not sorry. Such a let down!

Somehow, we'd missed Ca de Vin on our previous trips to Melbourne - it's tucked away in a little alleyway next to Myers. We dropped in for an early casual dinner and weren't disappointed. Our dinners were delicious and very generously proportioned, so much so that we couldn't finish our plates.
A great place for casual dining!
was very happy with the food and service was average. It felt more like a restaurant then a cafe! Great place to hang out with friends and family on weekends.
Food was reasonable but I loved the entertainment they ahd one night. The pasta was really good but I found my garlic bread was a little dry but it was lovely otherwise.
The place looks beautiful and the food and wine list are great. Serves are very generous. The service was very slow and unprofessional when we were there although this was during the busy Christmas period so they seemed unprepared for the extra customers. I would still go back and recommend this as a great value place in the CBD.

This hidden gem has some awesome pizza. For the meat lovers like me, the Carne is the best food I've tried here. Highly recommended. By the way, also make sure to check out if they have any specials.

Thanks for this, it sounds great and want to go there soon!
I have been to this cafe twice .. Very Satisfied with their coffee. The best thing is .. they provide heater!! keep you warm. Great place to hang out with friends and family.
Nestled next door to Melbourne's GPO is a sidewalk style restaurant called Ca De Vin. I've been here a few times and my favorite is the salmon Pizza. The price and quality are good with good service. It's a great place to catch a quick bite or to sit back and relax, watching people go by.

Loved everything about it, I was not expecting it to be that good as I thought it was actually more of a cafe than a restaurant, but the food was fresh and just flavoursome, and the service was exceptional.
Great selection of wines and liqueurs, good advice on what to drink also!
The staff knew exactly how much attention we needed too.

This my favourite restaurant ever- unfortunately I live in Perth so can only dine here on holidays. It is brilliant! Staff are friendly and efficient and the ambiance of the building in lovely, especially at night when it is lit with candles. The gothic wrough iron gates are amazing. But, it's the food that is great. From the rosemary baguette served with sea salt and olive oil to dip, through to the main meal specials (we had the chicken farmhouse pie, and the veal) all meals are special and worth the wait and price. Coffee and desserts are lovely too. I wish I could bundle this place up and take it home.
