I agree with the reviewer below, this is where you must take visitors. A nice drive from Melbourne, look through the champagne production area, then visit the cafe to look at the beautiful view of vines and valley as you sit ( outside or in) and eat yummy food ( we like the tasting platter as you try the different champagnes). A great Victorian experience, plus other wineries nearby.
I have recently bought two phones from Kogan on separate occasions and was also a bit worried about how trustworthy they would be. Both times, the website was very easy to use and order and the phones actually were delivered early in the morning which was great as I was worried they would come when we weren't at home.
This is the best place for mums with young children to hang out. You can watch the munchkins run around in the fenced park outside ( although littlies need supervision here, great playground). After you have had coffee and snacks from the friendly lady you can take them upstairs to the library above and grab some books. If you are a local you probably also know there is a community centre, neighborhood house and child care centre in the same complex. There is lots of free parking and it is also close to Chadstone so you could do shopping before or come here to let the kids burn off steam after. I think it is a great location with good coffee, typical cafe food and nice service.
We have been to Taxi a few times and it is beautiful high quality food with great service. We enjoyed the mixed sushi and sashimi, very good fish and the wagyu and pork were also said to be fantastic by our friends. Desserts are visually stunning and taste great as well. Quite pricey but worth it for a special occasion.
We went here for one of our children's birthdays when we were staying at Phillip Island, plus we had a Japanese guest with us as well. Lovely atmosphere and very good service. The menu has standard favourites but all enjoyed their meals, particularly the seafood and desserts. Our guest loved her fish, the view and the candles. One of the better options in Cowes, albeit a bit pricey.
We went here for a family party and it was perfect because they are good quality pizzas and adults could share more interesting ones like the pizza verde and the prosciutto, but the kids could still have the basic kid type ham pizza and their icecream for dessert. We enjoyed the casual atmosphere and Kyneton is a good place to meet with family members from Melbourne and Bendigo as it is halfway! Good for a Sunday lunch after driving from Melbourne as well.
Is place is very close to us and we get pizza from there occasionally. The service really is wonderful, we went there really late recently and nothing was too much trouble. But the reason we don't go all the time is that the pizzas are fine but nothing amazing, they are good but maybe we are too fussy.
