Always a busy little place wirh great food. Cheap tuesdays are our fav times to go for all you can eat chilli. The staff are always nice and friendly. Service can be a little slow on the busy nights but the food is worth the wait. Desert is the best choc nachos are our fav and perfect size for our family of 4.

Cactus jacks gives some great western influences through traditional Mexican dishes. Prices are fair and service generally pretty good. Happy hour rocks and they do great cocktails.

Cactus on Palmer is always a good place to start your evening before heading to the night clubs. Best time to start is at 5pm during happy hour where you can get some killer prices on the freshly made cocktails. Make sure you keep an eye on the clock though so you can get your last drinks in before time expires. The food is good quality in large portions with something for everyone. While not what you would expect from mexico itself Cactus still does a good job to recreate some of their simple delights. The ability to sit indoors or outdoors is always welcome in Townsville.

This place is so good, chilli Tuesdays are great $10 all you can eat chilli. Other nights I opt for the southern fried crispy chicken as it I there best thing on the menu. Great staff, quick service. Only down fall is that you can't book a table unless there I more then ten, so sometimes the waiting times are long, but u get a buzzer and can sit at the bar until a table is ready.

Fun and easy going place. Great tasting Mexican food-must try their Chicken Fajita's and top it up chocolate nachos- all at right price and good service.

Such a fun place to come, really cool restaurant with huge cocktails, lots of noise, lots of characters! This is the place to go for a young hungry crowd

Great mexican food, love the fajitas! Awesome cocktails, got to try the kaluha margarita. Great value. Wish they did take away and lunch time meals.

A tweaked Mexican restaurant made to adapt local's taste. Still good food however, if you're looking for authentic Mexican food, this may not be the perfect place. They still serve good food and drinks and the staff are friendly and helpful. It's enough when you have Mexican Craving.

Not traditional Mexican in anyway. Who puts shredded lettuce on nachos and then cooks it? Went there with some friends who raved about this place so we were excited to try it. It was cramped too loud and a very long wait. Cocktails were fantastic however the rest was a disappoint. Australianised Mexican food more than anything else. Since its the only Mexican place in Townsville (the chain is) many people know nothing else. 😔

May have to be one of the VERY BEST Mexician Restaurants Australia has to offer.
Starting with the Cocktail bar, there is a wide range of both, Australian and imported, beer and wine. Cocktails and Mocktails are scrumpcious, and the Margaritas are next to none.
Now the food, every mouthful is an experience, no matter what you may choose off the menu. From fajitas, to hot chilli dishes, crispy chicken strips, burgers, salads, enchiladas, chimichanga and chocolate chicken.
And for dessert try the chocolate nachos, they are to die for.
