We've been to this Caffe Primo many times and usually enjoy it. I love their lasagne but I wish it came with chips as well as salad. The salad is mostly lettuce, but okay. The 'free' garlic flat bread is great. No complaints with the service. One thing, though.. it's surprising the number of flies that hover around the tables - annoying!

Second time I have been to a Caffé Primos and the second time food was off. At this Café had a fish meal, the fish smelt a bit funny but I thought it should be ok, a place like this wouldn't serve off fish, well I was wrong and they did. I was sick not long after. I wrong the place after to let them know but they didn't want a bar of it. Sorry but will not be going back to any Caffe Primos

Approximate cost: $15

Hi Anonymous Member, unfortunately experiences like yours are mirrored across the country and it defies logic as to why any business would risk their reputation in such a manner. It certainly sounds as though managementâ??s attitude is every bit as offensive as their expired fish! Based on this alone, I would be inclined to avoid such a business. Thanks for sharing your experience. Regards, Reeces

I'm sorry you had such a bad experience. I had bad food poisoning from a Vietnamese chicken roll and shudder every time I see the shop it came from.

Recently went here for lunch with a large group of friends and family. The food was great, I had the pasta & pizza deal which was $9.90 and excellent value. I found the bolognese sauce a bit rich though. The free garlic bread is the best I have ever had, its a foccacia style. The serves are huge and again good value for money. Unfortunately as we were such a large group, the only tables big enough to accommodate us all were at the back of the restaurant away from the windows where we practically sat in darkness! There was no lighting except that which came from the kitchen area. Being that we had elderly people there with us it was a little unsafe for them to get up and go to the bar to order in case they tripped or fell as it was so dark. Other than that, as I said before the food was great, staff friendly and I would go again but would request seating near the windows :)

Approximate cost: $9.90 Lunch Menu

We go here fairly often as its close to home, affordable and usually great food. Only had one mishap and they were happy to rectify their mistake. Great service and friendly staff. Great place overall.

Would be great to see more vegetarian options and maybe even a vegan option to cater for all! Staff are always friendly; often too noisy when it gets busy.

Lining up for 10 minutes to place a drinks order, 10mins to place a mains order & 10 minutes to pay the bill is seriously not enjoyable! Every time they have a 'special' on, they forget to roster more staff on, so the poor staff are run off their feet and have to deal with unhappy customers; management needs a haulover!

Approximate cost: $18

Hi Antheam2, thanks for your review. At one point in time, I was somewhat intimidated by the thought of creating dishes suitable for â??veganâ?? consumption, however such reluctance was easily overcome by adopting some basic education, creativity and desire to please â??veganâ?? friends and guests. Incidentally, the next time an employee asks whether you â??enjoyed your mealâ??, perhaps you might tactfully mention the areas that could be improved upon. If however you donâ??t feel confident doing so, perhaps you could write them a letter. Having said this, hopefully the business in question keep abreast with on-line reviews and have already perused your comments and are in the process of instituting changes. Please feel free to report back and let us know if more â??vegetarianâ?? and â??veganâ?? options are added to their menu, as we would be interested to know. Thanks again, Reeces

Good cheap and plentiful food. Servings are huge and tasty. Free garlic bread also. Has a few vegetarian choices but nothing vegan. Sometimes too salty

Nice atmosphere. The servings are quite large, but food can get a but salty. Average value for money, but would recommend for casual dining.

Very cheaply priced cafe fare. I find that some of the food is more greasy than most, particularly the fish, chips and schnitzels.
Service is fast and friendly and the location is convenient.

The food is brilliant, I love the steak with seafood sauce the best. My daughter likes the pasta and the pancakes are definitely a winner.

While the meals are nice enough the pricing has gone through the roof and the service has dropped significantly since their inception. While once you needed to line up outside to get a table I have rarely seen the place full in recent times and I believe that like myself, people are not happy with the changes they have made to pricing etc. Also they charge for a pizza box to take leftovers home in - shame!!

Hi CathyN thanks for your review. Charging patrons for a takeaway container is a little tight fisted in our opinion. Thanks for the notification. Reeces
