I put a bike on layby for my daughter's birthday. I paid a deposit and was told the layby was for one month. The bike was to be put out the back until I collected and paid the balance. On my return a few weeks later to collect the bike, it had been sold. As it was the only one they had in stock, at a fantastic price, they would have to order one in which would take approximately 3 days. As I needed the bike before then I was given my deposit back and I was then on the hunt for a bike at the last minute. The staff member was very apologetic and did offer to order another one in. I was disappointed and angry as when I had walked into the store she had shown me a different bike than I had actually put away.
