we stayed here cheaply through a promotion holiday pakage and it was worth every cent and more. they have included activities such as canoeing/kayaking, winery tours, tennis courts, games room and mini-golf. It is abit out of the way but its nice and quiet and peaceful

Approximate cost: $200

Stayed here once a few weeks ago and was quite impressed with the facilities they have on offer. We couldn't find any horses, which would have been nice... but got good use fro the mini golf and paddle boats over the weekend.
They have very friendly wild but sort of tamed ducks at the property who were always interested in sharing some bread! so cute.

We spent a week here. It is located about 25 minutes from Surfers Paradise, in the hinterland, on about 90 acres of land. Probably about 100 units, set around a large lake, with paddleboats, etc.
A nice, quiet country setting, amongst the mountains and tropical forest, near Hinze Dam.
The rooms are quite nice, full kitchens, 2-bedroom, sleeping up to 6 people, including 2 on bed-lounge in living area. Fixtures and appliances all working satisfactorily.
Games room had a lot of items out of order, including both pool tables, no sign of anything being fixed in the week we were there, so this was a little disappointing. Nice outdoor pool, small mini-golf course, tennis courts and courtyard dining area (we did not try the restaurant). Also horse-riding, which we also did not utilize.
We found this a good alternative to the bustling high-rises of the Gold Coast area, and still providing good access to Theme Parks and other attractions.

Cedar lake resort is a really fun place to take a week long or just a weekend holiday. There's heaps of activities for kids and lots of stuff for adults as well. There's a playground, mini-golf course, tennis courts, paddle boats, kayaks, pool, golf course and organised kids activities too.
The rooms are all air conditions and have austar, and there are wheelchair friendly rooms available too.
I've always loved coming here as a kid and still love to now!!!
