Great place to meet up with friend easy relaxed enviroment staff are helpful and fair even when the bar is super busy, drinks are reasonalbly priced and they have grate specials and promotions.

The Chalk does some great deals on Sundays, with a range of $5 beers and $5 steaks. For a $5 steak it is pretty decent quality and is a reasonably large serve. They also draw a good crowd on game days and tend to have promotions on these days. It is a very large pub with multiple levels so you can hang out in a few different areas. It is also pretty close to the city so a good place to start for a few beers.

Great place to go for some drinks away from the hussle and bussle which is the valley. Different areas catering ti different moods and music style. Cheap drinks for a Sunday sesh! and usually have promos and etc. They have really good days on public holidays, great place to go on a day off!

I have been to this Hotel before and could take it or leave it but what impressed me recently was I organised a cocktail making class here as part of a hen's night and was really happy with what they provided. For $65 a head we had a 2 hour cocktail making class in our own private room that they allowed me to decorate beforehand. Over the 2 hours we made 3 different cocktails and with each one our bartender gave us a little lesson on why the flavours work together and what you can substitute when you try to make them at home. It also included platters of food which were pretty good. They even let us use the room for longer so we could play some hen's party games and just relax until we moved onto our next activity. It was a really fun and unique idea and I think it could work for lots of different types of celebrations.

Very unimpressed with this place. Snooty bar staff who can't even pretend to smile just drive me insane.

It gets very busy, but please at least try and serve your customers with some sort of polite attitude.

Great for a night out. Caters to every night out - whether watching the rugby or out for cocktails, have always had a great night here. The restaurant is brilliant too!

This is a great place to visit for an after work drink on a Friday night. Reasonably priced, reasonable service, a friendly and relaxed environment.

The Chalk Hotel is where I spent my 20th birthday and it was great. The drinks and cocktail are fantastic and the service is wonderful. The music and dance floor had the perfect atmosphere and it is a great place to meet people my own age. Highly recommended.

4 friends and I enjoyed brunch at the Chalk on a Sunday morning. Menu had a lot of variety. Staff were friendly and were prompt with attending our table & following up if we had any other requirements. Premises were clean, adequate off street parking is a bonus. Breakfasts were generous.

I go to the Chalk regularly and it is a great place. I had my 21st in the Platform 3 Function room and it was amazing the food is always spectacular and the drinks are delish..
