Only a few more steps, we are almost there, Mossie you are doing a tremendous job, you are so strong, you can do this, we are almost there, look up, see, can you see the flags… inside I am dying, I really don't care if I don't get there…surely I can stop now, surely this is far enough, it doesn't matter that I didn't make it, what's in a number anyway, I just want to sit down now, I've had enough, this is far enough, I'm really tired now, and I don't care anymore, this is my limit… but still the voice is there, constantly encouraging, constantly spurring me on, constantly reminding me why I came and that I am strong enough to do this, this voice believes in me, so why don't I believe…

This is the journey up to the highest point of my Base Camp Everest adventure, this is Kala Pattar…or as some of us duped it Kelly's guitar...and the voice that inspires me, that pulls me forward, that gives me the strength to put one foot in front of the other…that voice belongs to Cherrie Horne, my trek leader. The person who believes in me even before I think I can do something, who helps me push past my own mental and physical barriers. The person who brought me this far, who makes me believe in myself and who celebrates every little milestone I reach with real heart felt joy.

Dear Karin aka "Mossie" guiding you to the base of the highest mountain in the world & to the summit of Kala Patthar was a true honour & privilege. From the moment I first met you at my information evening I had great confidence & faith in you. The entire journey starting with the 8 week pre-trek conditioning program until the final day in Kathmandu was an experience & adventure we will never forget. Nothing gives me greater pleasure in life than to turn peoples' dreams & goals into reality...

Last September I travelled to Everest Base Camp with Cherie Horne as our guide and leader and it was by far the best experience of my life. Cherie took care of every aspect of our journey from the moment I signed on to the trip with a phone call to welcome me and set up our pre trek training plan right through until we arrived home. Cherie's training was superb, she is an expert high performance coach and she knows exactly what it takes to be prepared for a long walking trip and the preparation for trekking in high altitude. I was a bit apprehensive about coping in high altitude but with Cherie training me on the altitude machine over 8 weeks I gained confidence as I learned what it might feel like to trek in a high altitude. We also got to meet the other members of the team and train together for 8 weeks before the trip. This was a great way to get to know the other team members and Cherie is a master of bringing people together and working together. I didn't expect this level of dedication from our trekking guide and high performance coach but Cherie's commitment to our wellbeing was incredible and I felt so confident because she had prepared me and the team so well. Cherie's level of expertise is of such a high level that I felt safe and in very capable hands for the entire trip. I can tell you that Cherie is one of the strongest and fittest people on the mountain. Her abilities are legendary and I saw this first hand when I would hear other trekkers say "oh you're the Australian guide with the red pack that everyone is talking about!" I loved this trip so much that I am going back this year to trek around Annapurna with Cherie and five other members from our Everest Base Camp team and some new team members...I can't wait! I highly recommend Cherie to you whether you want to improve your fitness and well being or trek around beautiful parts of the world, Cherie Horne is the person you want looking after you. You will be grateful for her expertise, commitment and care. Oh and I lost 6 kgs on the trip whilst eating 3 times more than I usually do at home, how good is that!! Give Cherie a call, it's worth it.

I trekked to Base Camp Everest (I keep pinching myself that I ACTUALLY trekked to Base Camp Everest!!!) with Cherie Horne (Awesome Trekking Leader) and she rocks! Cherie encouraged everyone the whole way and got me through some tough mental challenges. It was like having my amazing sister with me the whole way! - I am so glad I found Cherie - I sure will be trekking with her again soon!!! I have gained a new friend for life!

Cherie has been my trainer since I arrived in Melbourne six months ago. What can I say? She has been the best I have worked with. She is highly knowledgeable, takes a personal interest and genuinely cares for your well-being. I look forward to our sessions and she checks in with me periodically throughout the week to see how I am getting on, which is an invaluable motivator and lovely personal touch.

If you are looking for a committed, reliable, caring professional, I cannot recommend Cherie highly enough! She gets to know your needs on an individual basis and helps you to realise your goals and ambitions.

If you need a personal trainer to tackle your wobbly bits or need to just tone up or increase your cardio then you cant go past engaging the services of Cherie. I have been seeing her for 6 months (once weekly) and Cherie makes each session an exciting challenge. I have gained my muscle tone, fitness level has increased and my husband has noticed a better me. No matter what your age (I am 59) Cherie will design a programe that will best suit your needs and she takes into account your diet and lifestyle. With a gently nudge to increase your weights or cardio (without you really being aware of it) Cherie makes you want to be a better you in health, fitness and wellbeing without heavy handed in-forcement. Would I recommend - most certainly whether you are male or female young or moving into your senior years you can with confidence use Cherie to reach your goals.

Cherie was instrumental in my preparation to Climb Aconcagua. She provided a fun and informative but tough program for me to follow to best prepare me for my challenge ahead.

I was successful with my climb and I owe a great deal of thanks to Cherie for her assistance in getting me ready.

Cherie is easily the best trainer that I have ever had. I am truly grateful for the time and effort she has put in. Before I met Cherie I didn't run (in fact didn't like it), in the 6 months that I have been training with her I have competed in 6 races and am now preparing for my 1st half marathon in late 2012. I cannot recommend Cherie highly enough.

I have been training with Cherie for 6 months and lm very pleased with my results. She is always very postivie and motivating and l like that she train's with me and helps me get the extra out of my workouts, she has advised me on my diet and has been very supportive throughout my journey with her so far and im looking foward to see what will come in the future with such a fantastic trainer. would recommend her to anyone .

I have been using Cherie as a personal trainer since August 2011. She is always positive and motivates me in my training to work harder but mixes it up so that it does not become boring and repetitive. She takes a holistic approach, knows how to manage and treat an injury and always seems focused on maximizing my progress. She contacted me when I was overseas to maintain my attention to my level of physical activity. I would recommend her as a PT for anyone.

Cherie is an outstanding trainer who gives alot more than just the sessions you pay for. she is always on hand to offer advice on training and diet and really cares about the individual she is training. her knowledge is outstanding on all areas of fitness and can really get results for you, would recommend her to anyone wanting to improve there health or fitness and a big bonus is she doesnt just tell you what to do she does it with you which is a huge plus for your pace and motivation
