Where has this one gone?
It used to be awesome, now it's only soso. Back in the days, there was a roaring trade here. Not only did they have the meals, but they had the Asian buns for sale. Not any more.
I still enjoy their laksa, but you can get it most places now, so it's not as unique.
Had their chicken rice. What a joke. 6 pieces of chicken... with bone! But I'll give they do ask if you want breast or thigh. Dollar extra for greens is NOT appropriate. Should be common for these to be included

This is a place to come and get a quick eat with good food, if you go on a Friday night it's always packed and you need to fight for a seat, if you don't mind sitting outside you'll have a better chance, I love the hokkien mee and the price is great about $10 a serve.

This is not a place I would be in a hurry to return to. Our meals certainly were ready quickly but the quality of our meals was left behind. My friends and I shared our meals and I would have to say that the laksa was the pick of the bunch, everyone just wanted to that and the rest of the meals were barely touched.

Was reasonably prices but felt it lacked customer service.

I was told this place was fast but I'm not sure they were on the ball. I had to wait 4mins for the food, where I was told that the food would be out by the time I sat down.
The laksa on the whole was average. The soup had a good laksa taste, however the let down was the noodles, which was the standard Hokkien mien. Where as I would have preferred vermicelli or ho fun.
At $7.90 a bowl I didn't expect much, and my expectations were met.

I found the service was quick, the meals average and prices reasonable.

Very quick. Very efficient. Tasty. Nasty.
The place isn't exactly pretty, but the food is ok enough to pass and tasty enough to get you through the day. The service is quick and transparent as they want to get you in and out as quickly as possible. More turnover more revenue.
But they do the job.

Always go to this little cafe for fast service. A very busy place at lunch time, but tasty food and authentic. Very reasonable price for the large servings.

Quick service and fresh tasty food - what more could you ask for. The chicken rice with extra greens is fantastic. Definitely my pick for a place to eat in Chinatown

This is probably the best cafe in Chinatown/Adelaide Markets, which is saying a lot. Best Hainanese Chicken Rice Ever! The only problem is that it is so popular you often have to wait for a table and/or share with strangers but that makes for a great atmosphere.

This little shop has some of the best value food in the markets. They make delicious freshly prepared meals very quickly which is great as it can get very busy. My favourites are Laksa and Char Kway Teow. The quality is always great and the staff are friendly :)
