I was first introduced to Chinese Herbal Medicine & Skin Care Centre by a friend who has the same problem as me, that is acnes and pimples on the face, which has been many years of concern. I was first skeptical about the treatments but then decided to give it a go as my Wedding was coming up. I had a chat and a free consultation with Jenny Zhu, the MD and head beautician, to look at my situation, trying to find the root causes. I wanted to look good on my special day. I have then decided to try the "Special Acne Treatment" for my oil and acne skin, which involves a few acupuncture sessions, taking some herbal medicine to cleanse the systems and using special essence to clean my inflamed skin on my face. After 4 sessions at the skin centre (combined with taking the herbal medicine which are capsules, so not too difficult to take in), I can see that my skin/ pores have cleared up a lot, most of the inflammation has gone and there are less new pimples and breakout because of less oil producing on my face. Even though my face is not 100% perfect (still have small pimples) but I am very happy with the result as I don't have huge big lumpy acne on my face, which can create problems when putting on make up. I am glad that I have given the treatment a try and should have started on it earlier so my face can be better. I am happy with my face and skin on my Wedding Day as the make up glided on smoothly and everyone was complimenting how radiant and beautiful I look. Even though the treatments and facials might be abit expensive, I still feel it was worth it. All brides should invest in weekly facials leading up to their Weddings. The staff at the Skin Centre also suggested that I did the "Eye treatment" so to reduce my dark circles by boosting the circulation, so my eyes look less tired and were brighter on my Wedding Day. Since I have bought their treatment previously, any treatment you buy on top can be combined together to get a discount, so a better deal. The skin centre is quite busy though so you will need to make a booking so to ensure the staff have enough time to attend to your full treatments. The Skin Centre have promotions on treatments from time to time so it will be a good time to try. I will definitely go back to try other treatments.
