The menu here is fantastic, not just for sweets but some lovely savouries as well. The Carrot & Chickpea soup doesn't sound exciting but was absolutely delicious, full of flavour and very well priced for the sizes. The waffles with berries and icecream was something we had to squeeze in, and the icecream was a real standout. Homemade and full of flavour, definitely better than any standard store-bought. All the prices were quite reasonable and the menu had pictures of all the items which was great to see what they were. Taste the jams, the flavours are exceptional and the trio of jam packs are good value. Highly recommend a visit.

Set within a large, kid-friendly garden, this venue has both dining and a shop. The food is good though sometimes a little small in portion, the drinks are also good.

The name of the place is itself magical. I was very much looking forward to stopping by this place for breakfast on a day trip to Cradle mountain.

The place is easy enough to find being well signed along the main highway out of Launceston.

We arrived there quite early and ordered breakfast. They had the usual eggs bacon toast pancakes etc but most with a slight berry twist like Raspberry chocolate french toast, Raspberry sausages (these were divine!) Hot chocolate with raspberry syrup.

Even the non berry items were really good I had the sweet potato hashbrown waffles with scrambled eggs and curly sweet potato fries. And they were sensational.

The attached shop sold all things raspberry and even had a generous sample plate with chocolate covered raspberries available.

We went home with the mandatory raspberry jam and had to purchase their raspberry brandy once we tried it (smooth and sweet) they also had lip gloss, raspberry dust, raspberry syrup, raspberry wine, raspberry chocolate, lots of other stuff I can't remember ... and of course raspberries!

There was also a decent children't play area outside the cafe and even thought it was a cold morning, we had a hard time prying my 18 month old away from the toys and equipment.

Definitely a must see if you're in the area. If I lived there I'd be getting all my jam there because you can really taste the raspberries in the jam (not just sugar like in supermarket stuff).

Price wise I think they are very reasonable for a tourist stop.

You really, really make me want to go there right now. I've been to Tasmania many times, but never knew about this place. Definitely top of the itinerary for next time. Thanks for the info.

i have been going to the raspberry farm for years now buying their frozen raspberries to make jam with. They are only $18 for 2 kgs which i find a good price. On my last trip there i took my daughter with me and we decided to grab some lunch in the cafe. The food was yummy. My daughter had the hay stack which is basically nachos, and for desert she had a mini raspberry sundae. She said the sundae was the nicest she had ever had. I had a marinated lamb wrap which had lamb, roasted veggies and fetta. I dont normally eat something like this but i was surprised how nice it was. It was a decent size wrap so was very filling. For the meals, desert and drink cost me $40 which i wouldn't normally pay that amount but for the quality and sizing it was well worth the money. The staff were very prompt with taking orders and were very well mannered. They were all very friendly and very good with children. The raspberry farm is beautiful to sit and have a meal or just for a stroll around. It is very scenic and very peaceful. There is plenty of parking.

I have eaten here twice, but this was the 1st time I got to take my husband.

The place is always busy when I stop in, and the staff are always attentive, really quick and super nice. My husband could not believe how sweet the waitresses were.

The 1st time I came here was in Winter and I had the Pork Belly which was sensational.
This time, because I came in Summer there was no Pork on the menu, so I had a lovely Salmon salad which was really delicious and hit the spot on the warm summer day.

This was followed by a produce plate, and my husband had a sundae which was so tasty that I ended up eating half.

I have now made it my aim to always stop here for lunch, brunch of afternoon tea when I am in the area (which is at least 4 times a year).

We also purchased some raspberry goods on the way out. Lip balm and Raspberry syrup.

Too yummy!
