we found this Irish pub on our first night in surfers and glad we did cause the meals were superb. We were seated and the waitress gave us menus as well as telling us the specials of the night. we all decided on the specials which were half price steak and chips. we all expected a small meal as it was half price, we got a shock when we seen the size of the meals....they were actually quite large meals. everyone was pleased with there meals and everyone said they were beautiful steaks. I loved the atmosphere of the restaurant as well as how friendly the staff were. they definitely made you feel welcomed

i loved walking around carrara market finding bargains in every corner. there was so many stalls in so many aisles that it was like a treasure hunt maze. You could easily spend a full day here and still not get to see every stall. There were licensed cafes and takeaways where you could sit down and have lunch and have a rest. there is plenty of activities for the kids to do like mini golf, pony rides, face painting and lots more.

what can i say other than they are amazing. On our recent trip to the gold coast we stumbled upon lukes reptiles at the surfers paradise night market. My daughter and I decided to have our photo take with a snake. My daughter was a bit worried about the snake putting its head near her so luke explained to her how to hold the snake and then put the snakes head on my shoulder instead. they were so good with her. for $10 we got to have our photo taken with the snake and received an A4 photo which i thought was excellent value.
2 days later we visited them again but the time at the Carrara market where they were doing live reptile shows. Entry was $8 for adults and $5 for kids. There were heaps of different reptiles to look at including venomous snakes and the shows were so informative. we all enjoyed ourselves and would definitely visit again if we got the chance

bluewater cruises was amazing and excellent value for money. We booked over the internet a few weeks before our trip to the gold coast and they kept us well informed of any chances to the time the cruise left. It was $20 for an adult which was for an 1 and half hour cruise. We went on the lunch cruise which included a sausage sizzle, coffee/tea and cake. we went passed mansions owned by famous people, we seen where Pink stayed on her last visit and the southport boating club where you got to see some huge boats which were obviously owned by some very rich people. the cruise was very informative as well as relaxing. well worth $20.

We found Holidays Gold coast while looking for accommodation on the internet. They were the cheapest place to go through for accommodation. We emailed them for a quote on an apartment in surfers paradise, we were emailed back within 10 minutes with an excellent price. We contacted vickey and she was so helpful and very honest. She explained the differences in all the rooms she had available and unlike a lot of travel people she didnt try to convince us the dearer room was better. She actually said all rooms were pretty much the same except the view.We were greeted at the apartment by one of their agents who showed us through the apartment and told us if there was anything we needed just give them a call. will definitely be booking through them again
after reading reviews on Ripleys i thought it was going to be an excellent place to visit while on our holiday. As people had said we needed at least 3 hours to go through it we were greatly surprised when we were out within an hour. Although it was interesting to read and see alot of the weird stuff i found that if you didnt have a smart phone to get the extra information on you missed out on alot of it. My daughter did have fun telling her dad to touch the skeletons face and seeing him get and electric shock.
All in all i dont think it is worth $24 for adults.

we visited cafe on frankland multiple times while visiting my dad in hospital. The food is so cheap and there is so many different varieties to choose from. Even though it is located in the hospital it is open to the public as well. There is 5 different serving areas to choose from. I purchased from 4 of the 5 and have always found the service to be excellent and they are always friendly. On my last trip there last tuesday i ordered a sweet chilli jacket potato, it cost me $7.50 and it was the nicest jacket potato i have had in a while and it was huge. Most meals range around the $6 mark with different specials each day. As well as hot meals you can also buy wraps, sandwiches, salads, deserts and hot and cold drinks. The tables and eating area have always been clean when i have been and there is plenty of room to sit down. Can alos be hired out for functions.
The hotel doesn't look like the flashiest pub from the outside but you get a shock when you walk in. The bistro is very well set out and rather upmarket looking. There is a wicked kids play area that also has claw machines( so make sure you have plenty of coins). The service is superb and the waitresses are very friendly and polite. This is very family friendly hotel.
we decided to visit the museum while we were in beechworth a few weeks ago for the annual Ned Kelly Re-enactment. We thought it was free to go through as part of the Ned Kelly weekend but the lady informed us that it wasnt and that it was $8 each for adults and $5 for kids. As we had already told our daughter we were going there we paid to go through. There was heaps to look at and i especially liked looking at the Ned Kelly items and the old time shop fronts that were set up. My daughter preferred to look at the gemstones and the old mining equipment. It was very educational but being that it was Ned Kelly weekend I thought they could have dropped the price on entry a little bit so more families could experience it.

we only found this awesome shop by accident. We took a wrong turn down a side street while trying to find a parking spot. Im glad we did. The guy is so good at what he does and he is really good with the kids. He makes you feel very welcome and comfortable while he is drawing your kids picture. My daughter had her picture drawn as a cartoon and she thought it was brilliant. It cost us $15 to have the picture drawn and $5 to have it laminated. the shop is only small and is a little on the wacky side which is funny for the kids.
