Normally I would give these guys 5 stars but our take away order last week was not up to it's usual high standard, maybe someone else was doing the cooking. Normally the meat in our vindaloo and rogan josh would just melt in your mouth, but this time we found some rather fatty chewing pieces which was quite disappointing, also it wasn't the usual recipe, not so flavoursome. The entrees were lacking as well, not sure what happened this time round. However, their prices are quite cheap compared to others with prices from $10.50 to around $13 and the portions are quite large, Service is always quick and friendly. We will give them another try but if it is a repeat of this experience, we will say goodbye.

I was on my way home from Roxby Downs and placed my order via phone as I approached. I ordered 7 mains and an entree, it was ready when i arrived 20 minutes later. It cost $105 which fed my family of 4 for two days. Their cuisine is always authentic and takeaway serving portions are very generous, their prices are very reasonable compared to others with mains starting at around $9.90 up to around $16. Service is always quick and friendly. I highly recommend, we have never been disappointed.

Must remember this place for when our European family are here in a few weeks time. Never know what to have for dinner

My family recently enjoyed a rather large take away order, the biggest yet at $120. There was so much that we managed nearly 3 main meals out of it. Their rogan josh is the ants pants, so delicious that we ordered 2 serves. The vindaloo is always a favourite as well as the tikka masala and butter chicken, I love their onion bhaji and pakora. We usually make up our own rice and rotis. I always call our order through and it is usually ready within 25 minutes. Staff are always polite and friendly. They serve up the most delicious Indian cuisine.

My family loves this indian restaurant, we mainly do take away rather than eating in. Our son celebrated his birthday last week so I picked up some dishes on my way home. Rogan Josh and beef Vindaloo are the main dishes my family enjoys. The butter chicken is delicious but my wife prefers to make it, tika masala is also a favourite. I ordered some rotis with the meal, but what i received was definately not what i ordered, they were tough and tasteless - very unusual for them to get anything wrong, let alone be tasteless. I will be careful when ordering roti next time. Beside this, we all thorougly enjoyed our meal.

After successfully completing our search for a car for our son we thought it was appropriate to celebrate, so we called the Clay and Coal whilst we were finishing up business and our meals were ready for pick up 20 minutes later. I ordered 3 entrees including my favourite onion bhaji and veg pakora with raita sauce and five main meals as well as rice, it came to $76 and the through in a bag of papodums. The vindaloo was nice and hot as usual and we tried the lamb masala again, yum. We have never been disappointed with the Clay and Coal, very fast service and our meals are always mouthwateringly fabulous.

Yet another fabulous take away order from these guys. My family was really in the mood for some indian food, didn't feel like eating in a restaurant, just take away, this is our go to indian place for that. Can always count on them to deliver the highest quality take away we have ever had, their prices haven't changed for some time now with the average being aroung $12.50. We ordered the Beef vindaloo, it was so hot (my family love it that way) that my son had tears, I decided to skip it on this occasion. Loved their beef korma, chicken tikka and of course rogan josh. Entrees are around $6 and the servings are quite large, we also ordered some naan and roti, there was enough left over for us to eat the following day. A bargain for 4 people!

Service is always extremely fast and friendly, always a great experience, never disappointed.

This Indian restaurant doesn't look fabulous from the outside but once you walk in you are pleasantly surprised. Not a very large dining area but certainly adequate.

I have had lunch here numerous times with work collegues and also picked up take away for the family on many occasions. Their dishes certainly are authentic, just the right amount of spice. They have spiced up my Vindaloo on many occasions. I agree with the previous review, the lamb shanks are fabulous.

Staff are always attentive and friendly, always an enjoyable experience and that is why I keep going back.

Approximate cost: $16

I have been back here a few times since my last review and their food just seems to taste better each time we go. We always order their Rogan Josh Lamb Shanks, as it is a favourite. The Staff are always friendly and I cannot believe how quick they are with preparing your meal. Very reliable with great tasting food at very reasonable prices.

We have tried many Indian Restaurants, but this is the best by far (for take away anyway). You can eat in, but there isn't enough space to accommodate a large amount of people. The food is so authentic - absolutely delicious. My family always order the Lamb Rogan Josh and the Beef Vindaloo (beware the Vindaloo is very hot!!!!) Favourite entrees Onion Bhaji and Vegetable Pakora - there are many accompainments to choose from and all are reasonably priced. Well worth the money. The staff are also quite friendly. I highly recommend.

Approximate cost: $13
