Very friendly and good service (upgrade ducted gas heater)

We have and will only use Climate Master for annual servicing of our Gas Heater. The technicians are knowledgeable, on time, and we appreciate that they leave our home tidy when they leave.

Terrible service. I booked in a service on July 1 for our broken heater. Got given July 17 for the job. I get it.... it's winter, they're busy. July 17 rolls by and no visit. No contact. When I email, they apologise and set a new date for July 30. Unhappy but I was away for work so booked in the new date. July 30... take the day off. No technician. No phone call. No email. Would not recommend them to anyone.

Twice now over the last few years I have attended the shop front in Fyshwick with a dirty filter for my ducted gas heating air intake. Takes five minutes for them to replace the material and great price and friendly service to boot. Thanks climate master

After 15 years of good service and great technicians when it came to a warranty job on a refrigerated cooler Climate Master did not act on approval by Brivis to do the job demonstrating disregard for customer service. I then went directly through Brivis but it took FOUR months from the original diagnosis to finally be fixed, totally unsatisfactory and distressing over an extremely hot summer. Climate Master did not have the courtesy to reply to a letter I sent them either. I do NOT recommend Climate Master.

I would not recommend anyone deal with this company. Arranged a call out for a heater that was not working. They supplied a quote of $500 for replacements parts, & were given the go ahead on Thursday. When they arrived at the property the following Tuesday to undertake repairs, they then advised a new heater was required at a cost of $3500. They finally managed to install this the following Tuesday. They still changed an initial call out fee of $200 & it took two weeks to having any heating; hardly good enough in the middle of winter. Have just now found out that 2 bedrooms are not heating; Climate Master are not interested, so have gone to an alternate service company & will not deal with Climate Master again. They are obviously so busy they don't need my business anyway.

Climate Master are hopeless! I called Climate Master (recommended service provider of ActewAGL) when I saw an error on the control panel of my ducted heating system in early April 2017 (system purchased from ActewAGL Energy Shop - incidentally, ActewAGL do not service the gas products they sell - Beware!). The furnace is 15 years old. Climate Master provided a site visit on the same day (only because of a cancellation - otherwise I was looking at at least a week or two before I could get anyone to even look at my system). I spent $200 on the site visit to find that that the heat exchanger is no good and apparently not repairable. So I am up for a new furnace. The Climate Master tech fiddled for some time with his iPad on site to register a quote which I would get through the mail later. The quote never came, despite two follow up calls on my part over the next two weeks. With autumn temperatures dropping and no response from Climate Master, I eventually went to a competitor who visited the home and inspected within 24 hours and gave a quote on the spot (no iPad - just biro and paper), confirmed by phone with the office, deposit paid by credit card while on the phone, and installation date confirmed (approx 2 weeks) on the spot. My phone calls to Climate Master were responded to by 'This is our busy period', and fobbed off with words to the effect of 'I'll refer your inquiry to our salesman'. If they are SO very busy, they can get by without your business.

We have been using Climate Master for annual servicing of our Brivis L42 Cooler and Brivis He20i xa v3 Gas Heater since installation by ActewAGL 15 and 13 years ago, respectively. Climate Master Servicemen have been competent, courteous and helpful; one once noticed and fixed a small roof leak as a bonus for free in a few minutes! Over 15 years of annual servicing, extra issues have only been missed twice, and understandably in each case. All other services have been excellent.
Only two breakdowns have occurred in that time, both in the Cooler: the first, a solenoid switch for the Cooler refill and emptying valve; the second, the fan attachment nut for the Cooler sheared off and the fan came off after 15 years of reliable and quiet operation. A new nut assembly was needed, and fixed the problem. Cooler pads also needed replacement after 14 years mainly due to grime accumulation from Belconnen Way traffic exhaust over the years (about 150 metres upwind of our home). The Networker Controller for the Heater and Cooler has also been replaced once after 15 years for a fault in the temperature and time setting knob electronics. Cost of parts is a bit high but reasonable for the parts, in my view, and comparable with other products.
Cost of solenoid assembly was $90 approx from memory, cost of fan nut assembly $48, Networker Controller was $271, replacement pads, complete set for Cooler, about $500; callout $200 all including GST. The total of $519 below is a typical example for the following excellent service by Dave: fan nut assembly $48, Networker Controller replacement after 15 years $271, call out fee $200 (all prices GST included), call completed in about 20 minutes from arrival to departure.
I am a very satisfied customer, and I can recommend Climate Master from my experience of 15 years of service by the company.
