It's a tradition of mine to visit this wonderful cafe every time I'm in Augusta. Famously known as the last cafe before Antarctica, it sits by the banks of the Blackwood River and is the perfect place for breakfast or lunch. The food tastes great and the seafood is fresh. It is worth nothing that the dining in menu is markedly different in price to the takeaway menu. Taking away fish & chips and eating it fresh on a bench by the river is also lovely. The place is easy to find with plenty of directions and signs along the way. Definitely worth checking out if you are around Augusta :)

Nice healthy wholesome food is served at The Colourpatch cafe in Augusta.

There is plenty of salad with the food and it doesn't feel that you have eaten junk food.

Their chips are well cooked and very nice - not greasy at all.

There is an option to eat in the cafe or buy takeaway.

It is located right on the banks of the Blackwood River so it is a very pleasant place to eat.

Approximate cost: $15

Take- Away Bronze Whaler & Chips + Coffee eaten on the banks of the Blackwood River acroos the road. The Bronzie & the Whiting are both caught locally, I prefer the Bronzie as it has no bones but the Whiting is sweeter. The Chips are cooked to perfection and the batter is light & crisp. The coffee was well made too! There is a Restaurant to dine in s well but the menu & prices are different.

Approximate cost: $18
