Terrible real estate agents I would never consider renting or buying anything through this company. They are currently attempting to withhold my bond for a single lightbulb that requires a ladder (not supplied) to change.

TENANTS BEWARE.

I was renting with coral sea when my property was broken into, resulting in the door handle being completely destroyed.
Coral sea where unable to get a tradesman out over the weekend (too costly, most likely)
So we had our locks replaced the same day by a helpful friend. I logged a maintenance request for this to be fixed asap, dropped the original damaged locks in to Coral sea and explained the situation.
We were reassured by staff it would be fixed and the separate locks would be fine as long as coral sea had a copy of both keys. (Which we provided to the office the following monday)
During my pre-vacate inspection with Chris Wilson I once again inquired about the locks and whether this would be fixed before I vacated the property. He assured me it was fine as long as Coral Sea had a copy of both locks.

Suprise suprise, we were then hit with a $195 fee to replace the locks when the vacate was completed.

Despite being reassured multiple times by staff, logging a maintenance request for this to be actioned, told on my pre-vacate it was not an issue, it only need to be fixed when it came time for money to change hands.

Extremely disappointed by the complete mishandling of this situation by Coral Sea.

Coral Sea is run to profit and please OWNERS and the TENANT is a viewed as a complete cash sponge. You WILL be expected to pay extra amounts of money for unreasonable "repairs" when you exit, despite how pro-active you are as a tenant.

I'm not surprised they have been fined for this before.

I couldn't recommend Coral Sea more highly. I have had my property rented through them for four years and they have been fantastic. Their communication is excellent, they have always gotten in great tenants, rent is always on time and any issues have been taken care of immediately and with minimal fuss.

Coral Sea talk a big game - promising owners rent if they don't find tenants, a long list of commandments that they will follow on values such as trust, communication and integrity - yet their cute meme's and childish advertising don't really cut it when they fail to provide a basic service of being a middle man between owners and tenants.
Personally, I have been forced to mediate with the RTA on two occasions during our tenancy and on both occasions they failed to mount a credible case and backed down after the threat of going to court was made. They assumed that tenants will roll over and do as they are told under the threat of legal action and debt collectors. Despite the courts being an expensive and time consuming option, they are able to sort fact from fiction and Coral Sea were too scared to front up to them, so they withdrew their claims to my money after weeks of bullying. Their actions will now be judged by the office of fair trade and I am hopeful this enquiry will assist future tenants.
Bottom line is: If you think the promises are too good to be true, they probably are....
