TENANTS BEWARE.
Pirates by name and pirates by nature.

I was renting with coral sea when my property was broken into, resulting in the door handle being completely destroyed.
Coral sea where unable to get a tradesman out over the weekend (too costly, most likely)
So we had our locks replaced the same day by a helpful friend. I logged a maintenance request for this to be fixed asap, dropped the original damaged locks in to Coral sea and explained the situation.
We were reassured by staff it would be fixed and the separate locks would be fine as long as coral sea had a copy of both keys. (Which we provided to the office the following monday)
During my pre-vacate inspection with Chris Wilson I once again inquired about the locks and whether this would be fixed before I vacated the property. He assured me it was fine as long as Coral Sea had a copy of both locks.

Suprise suprise, we were then hit with a $195 fee to replace the locks when the vacate was completed.

Despite being reassured multiple times by staff, logging a maintenance request for this to be actioned, told on my pre-vacate it was not an issue, it only need to be fixed when it came time for money to change hands.

Extremely disappointed by the complete mishandling of this situation by Coral Sea.

Coral Sea is run to profit and please OWNERS and the TENANT is a viewed as a complete cash sponge. You WILL be expected to pay extra amounts of money for unreasonable "repairs" when you exit, despite how pro-active you are as a tenant.

I'm not surprised they have been fined for this before.

I was broken into by ended up being ROBBED by coral sea.
