We are very grateful to the team at Cornerstone Funerals for their kindness, support and professionalism during one of the most difficult moments in our lives — the passing of our beloved mother.
From the very first contact, Sam and Leah guided us with care and clarity. They were respectful, compassionate and patient throughout the entire process, making sure everything was handled smoothly and with dignity. Every step was explained clearly, and we always felt supported and heard.
At such a delicate time, it meant a lot to know we were in good hands. Thank you for helping us say goodbye to our mum in such a warm and meaningful way.

Honestly hand on heart, every single element of our experience was perfect. From the care of my nanna being collected from her place of passing to where she was laid to rest and every single detail in between, Sam and his team treated my nanna along with us, her family with enormous respect, patience and guidance.
Forever grateful Sam for making us all feel comfortable, at ease and not having to worry about a thing at our most vulnerable time.

Our team are trained to be the most professional and compassionate and we guarantee to treat your loved one as if they are our own.
What is your level of experience in this line of work?
Our General Manager has over 10 years experience in the industry alone.
What certifications, qualifications or awards has your business received?
We last year received the Redcliffe Chamber of Commerce Award for best Customer Service. Word of Mouth top 5% Service Award.
What is your fee structure like? Fixed fees? Hourly rates?
Price List is freely available on our website home page and is generally cheaper than most other funeral homes in our local area.
What are your current prices (fixed and variable)?
Mostly fixed the only variable pricing is dependent on 3rd party offerings however majority of our prices remain fixed for most of our families.
Are you a member of any professional / industry associations?
We have not committed to being involved in associations that don't adhere to quality outcomes for families and as such have not decided to join any at this stage.
What is your favourite thing about your job?
Being able to see the families go from lost and without hope to having relief that our team was able to assist and guide them through this emotional time.
What are your payment terms and conditions? Do you offer payment plans? Afterpay? Interest-free terms?
We request payment prior to service and can recommend families to same day loan facilities if they require this method.
What makes you unique compared to your competitors?
Most funeral homes in our area are not locally owned in fact majority are owned by large corporations. For genuine care and compassion that focuses on the families and not shareholders we are the Funeral Home to engage.
What insurance do you hold, and what value are you covered for?
Essential public liability and indemnity insurance our teams are trained to also have some basic grief counselling skills.
How quickly can work be completed? What are your turnaround times? Do you offer same-day service?
Generally services are done within a week and we do all we can to accommodate a families wishes and needs.
Do you have a favourite client story you'd like to share?
One of the other best things about this role is hearing the amazing stories that you'd never get to hear about a persons life. Having attended probably thousands of funerals now there is one that stands out to me. The gentleman was musical but was too shy to perform so before he passed he recorded himself playing his guitar and singing, he was actually really good! For the service we fulfilled his last wish which was to perform in front of people and get an encore. At the end of the service we closed the curtains, then announced there would be an encore to cheers from the attendees. We then opened the curtain and played the video. Was a very special service to be part of.

No 2 for 1 specials or anything, our prices are designed to be affordable and our team is trained to be creative and flexible to help you get the very best send off for your loved one.
