This is a world-class quality giftware store, set up with such creative flair that you can lose yourself for pleasurable hours on end. I lived here for years before I found it accidentally. Couldn't believe that Ipswich would have hidden away, a large store of this calibre. 'Country House' would not be out of place in London, Paris, or New York. The owner Ruth is stylish and savvy; the staff are always helpful and genuinely interested in assisting with what you are looking for. Every visit is a delight, and with excellent coffee just outside the door, put aside a few hours. With Christmas not too far away, the shop is already showing signs of the gorgeous festive stock arriving. One thing I particularly love about Country House is that it caters for all pockets - there is something beautiful for every shopper.

If you are looking for a special gift that you don't find in every second shop, this is where you will find it. The staff are very helpful, but not at all pushy. They have a free gift wrap service. The stock changes continually, so I like to return often.
