If you’re searching for a good salon on the Northern Beaches, Cranium is certainly not one of them. I was thoroughly looking forward to getting my hair done post-lockdown and having a baby, only to wish I’d never had my hair done. I asked for something similar to what I had previously at Cranium and was booked in for a half head of highlights. The stylist made some suggestions, which I agreed to given their experience. I ended up with a patchy semi-permanent dye which made the old dye underneath look greenish and ash tone highlights framing my face. I called the salon to advise I wasn’t happy with the colour, only to be told to wash my hair and see how I go, and there was basically nothing they could do. I was shocked that there was no after care and that they hadn’t suggested that I come into the salon so they could take a proper look. To throw acid in the wound, a few people pointed out the cut was wonky at the back. I ended up having to go to Just Cuts to fix this, which is somewhat unbelievable after paying nearly $432 (nearly double what I paid there last time) at a prestige salon. I have since emailed the salon with photos and I’ve received no response. Cranium clearly lacks any customer service and I suspect their staff are too busy with unrealistic revenue targets.

The service at Cranium is unbelievable. An appointment at Cranium is like a spa treatment. The service is always consistent, right down to the luxurious head and hand massages, reclining massage chairs and your choice of wine or coffee on arrival. I always leave feeling pampered, relaxed and with the cut and colour i wanted.

My friend & I were in Sydney for a visit and were running very late for our appointment. The girls at Cranium were more than helpful and went out of their way to help us out so we could get our hair done for a function. Once we arrived, we were given hand massages and champagne and the whole experience was just brilliant. Although we dont live in Sydney, we thoroughly recommend the girls at Cranium. You will love the whole experience oh and the value was fantastic.

I go here every month or so to get my hair touched up. I would get it done here more often but it is a little pricey. Great and friendly staff and a great location.

I walked into the shop with a friend telling me that it was good value. However the shop was very untidy which turned me off a little. But the cut was good.

Cut and blow dry is only $90 and this is for the most experienced person in the store to do it. I had mine done and it was great. I was looking to go back for a colour and freaked out at prices. Was happy with my cut.

The first time I went here I had a good experience, but was horrified at the prices that they charge for their services. The second time I went, I ended up with bleached highlights when I asked for warm low lights, and left in tears. Wouldn't go back.
