Many good memories of great meals at The cremorne years ago.
Recent meal not the case.
Steaks , med and med rare were chargrilled but more like charcoal. They tasted burnt.
Returned but due to not being sure next ones wouldnt be the same got parmi instead.
Chicken parmi was tasty and good size. Gnocchi also had burnt mushrooms.
For the cost very disappointed

We saw a lot of meals come out and they were all well presented.
The beef curry was delicious, very tender and just as described on the menu.
Unfortunately the caesar salad didn't live up to previous experience, with very little in the way of prosciutto and only two croutons. The chicken we asked for as an extra was quite dry.
The fillet steak looked great, and on request was served with a selection of mustards, quite generous portions.
There are a lot of other things on the menu that we would like to try, from entrées through mains and salads.
We didn't see any desserts, but they sounded yummy. Maybe next time!

A decent pub with decent food, nothing to write home about but you will not be disappointed. They often have good specials on the menu, the Thai beef salad was my favorite. Reasonably priced and you can always get a table, a great place to meet your friends.

Go here regularly for a parmi, beer and a bet in the bar. Am unsure about the restaurant but if the parmis are anything to go by, you're on a winner. Relaxed spot for a quiet beer and tote for those who want to try their luck. Usually with a group of girls and guys and the girls are all comfortable there, no creeps or idiots making a pain of themselves. Good local pub.

Have been here a few times but only to the pub bit not the restaurant. They have a great outdoor area with tables and chairs and also bench seats while inside just like any other pub with a TAB area and a few long tables for bar meals and heaps of TV's with all sport. Great spot for a catch up to watch the footy and have a flutter on the TAB, bonus is the TV in the guys toilets so you dont miss a min of the action.

A little disappointing unfortunately
Although our entree was nicely plated (we had prawn cocktails) the prawns where quite bland and watery.
For mains we had chicken parmigiana, the chicken was very thin almost pressed rather than a regular chicken breast topped with a thick slab of mozzarella and tomato.
Service was good, cost just under $100 for 2 people..2 courses plus bread & 1 glass of wine.

Great relaxed atmosphere, good environment to be in since the new renovations. Also you can't beat a $13 parmy on a Monday or Tuesday

Approximate cost: $17

1st Visit: Restaurant - Meals were considerably good for a pub, priced fairly well. As for service, we got our order taken - this was the extent of it. When we went to pay, we were waiting for a good 10 minutes for someone to come out and serve us. (There wasn't even anyone at the bar - we could of walked out and no one would have known)

2nd Visit: Bar meals - 5 orders were taken down. 3 meals were brought out in good time. The other 2 took over 50 minutes to come out after the first 3. Everyone was ready to leave by the time our meals arrived. (Note these meals were a parma and fish & chips) not the most complicated of meals to prepare.)

We would have been happier if we received an apology of some sort, but were just handed the meals and the waiter left.

Approximate cost: $22

When dining in the bistro it is always very busy and because it is in the old bottle shop, it is always very noisy so one leaves with a headache!
The food is pricey and not necessarily any better for it.
At a Christmas function there in the function room the food provided was abysmal.

i think you're just an angry little food critic kittypuss! What Geelong local doesn't like Lord of the Isles and the Cremorne!?!? I've heard that McDonalds provides cheap food... maybe that will fit your budget a bit better!
