Great sushi and all round japanese food. Family run and the service is great. We sat out the back and had all you could eat - it just kept on coming. Felt bad when we told them we were full! They had a karaoke machine out the back too, not sure if it was actually for customer use but they were happy enough for us to use (and dominate btw) it. Family run so as the other review said, don't plan to stay until midnight - they won't ask you to move on, too polite for that - but move on at a reasonable time to let the lovely family go home. But you're not going there to become family friends and get a christmas card each year, it's all about the food. And they do it top notch. Maybe I'll send them a card this year...

Really nice food, can't fault that at all. Good range, tasty ingredients and coffee is decent. Staff can come across a bit cool for their own good though. You're not here to impress me with how alternative you are with your neck tattoos and hipster attitude mate, just get me another coffee.

"Argh! I'm in Barwon Heads and I'm hungover/hungry/looking for delicious food and drink/want to chat to friends over a coffee!" Well, I know exactly where you should be. The coffee is great, the muffins are unreal and the squishys (bacon and egg rolls with herb mayo) will set you up for everything you need to do, from recovering from a hangover to sprinting to torquay and back. There's a reason this place is always full - but don't stress sunshine, getting a table doesn't take long - so get along and tell your friends.

Went here to watch the footy with a few beers and a plate of wedges. Wedge serving size was generous, beer was very tasty. Plenty of big screens around the place made it easy to watch and never miss a the action. Would very happilt go back to watch the footy, good local pub feel to it.

Go here regularly for a parmi, beer and a bet in the bar. Am unsure about the restaurant but if the parmis are anything to go by, you're on a winner. Relaxed spot for a quiet beer and tote for those who want to try their luck. Usually with a group of girls and guys and the girls are all comfortable there, no creeps or idiots making a pain of themselves. Good local pub.

Tucked away but cracking pizza. I live near here and there's no shortage of pizza places but this is my pick and is now my default place.
Staff are busy as the place is flat out but are very jovial and friendly. Get in the and sample the delicious pizzas. Bam!

Authentic german drinking hall in the centre of Melbourne. Well, as authentic as you can expect to get. Proper litre steins, all the staff in traditional german costume, bench seating and german drinking songs playing in the background, ah takes me back. Prost!

Great location, drinks aren't the cheapest but you're basically sitting right on the river so can't expect bargain basement prices. Very popular spot for breakfast and open til late too, the place was still packed at 11pm the night I was there

Ellen is the best! Friendly, happy and no one knows how to cut my hair like she does. I've got curly hair too which not all hair dressers know what to do with but she's onto it. I don't let anyone near my hair with anything shaper than a pillow now, just to make sure no one cuts it but her.

The thai here is awesome. Straight up, awesome. Get in here and order the pad thai and/or massaman curry with coconut rice. Take away can sometimes take a while as they get busy on weekends but worth it. Well worth it, make this place your standard thai place...because it's (wait for it)...it's way more than standard thai!
