This is a good bakery but a little generic, however I shop there regularly for a nice $2 coffee which is excellent value, the spinach and fetta twists are yummy and I also like to grab a $3.50 boston bun when having someone over for morning tea. Although a little generic it is a lot fresher than bakers delight or brumby's and they do have some great value items. Staff are friendly too.

The first Crusty Devil Bakehouse to open, this Carina North bakery is the prototype of what is invariably hoped to be a chain of stores. Established by Tom Potter, the founder of Eagle Boys Pizza, the bakery aims to provide fresh, clean and fast service to all customers. The stores have a viewing area to enable customers to watch the production of the pies, cakes and pastries.

The Carina North store is located in a small but busy shopping complex and near the much acclaimed fruit shop and deli, Carina Fresh. There is a small area for alfresco dining and orders can be taken through a window from outside of the store. The inside of the store is roomy and comfortably air conditioned. During the 12 months that I taught at a nearby school Crusty Devil's Spinach & Feta Sausage Roll was one of my more frequent luncheon treats. Although reasonably expensive, at $4.40 each, I can highly recommend them.

I find the Crusty Devil to be overpriced for very basic bakery items. I am not sure how they have gone about developing their products, but compared to other local bakeries (Flour Monkey, Uncle Bob's) they just don't come up to scratch when they are asking similar prices.

The coffee they offer is very ordinary too, even though it is "Merlo".

The staff are friendly and are a credit to the business!

Staff always friendly and their food is well priced, fresh and tastes good. The new layout of the store is great and even better that they offer coffee as well

Wonderful friendly staff, even at 6am in the morning! The parking is easy, the pastry is fresh and yummy and the coffee is fantastic!
