Worst service ever. Food was small in proportion and quality was lesser than a fast food meal. Price was definitely not worth it. However the worst part was the manager who was arrogant in how he served you. Wouldn't allow you to watch the football on TV in peace and was especially rude after you paid the bill as he wanted you out of the store as soon as possible. Never come across such a person in my dining experience. Will never go back and I encourage anyone thinking of going here to think again.

This has to be the worst place ever, I came here to celebrate my birthday with a few mates. I expected dinner, nice service and cutting my cake. I received worst service on earth, the staff was rude. I received live disgusting entertainment with the management, arguing out loud. My dinner came 2 and half hours late, so I was forced to cut my birthday cake before the actual main came out. Never again will I come back, thank you for a 'memorable' birthday dinner.

MAKE NO MISTAKE......YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED What a Shame....we went here using a discount voucher. Lucky or I would have been so so annoyed. I have read the other reviews and agree and disagree in part with most. Firstly I will say the food was GREAT....the service was GREAT...why the disappointment you ask. As I said we had a voucher so we paid $50 for Banquet #3....(Their biggest banquet)...for 2 people ordinarily $100. If I paid full price I would have called the fraud squad. We are not big eaters, but even we left Hungry...IT WAS A JOKE. Their main banquet is (I can even remember every dish it was that small) 3 x dips (avge size) 2 x dolma (not home made - out of a can) 1 x small serve of Tabouli 2 x Falafel (beautiful) 2 x Kibbi 2 x Kibbi in Pastry (sorry don't know lebanese name) 6 x small peices of bread each 2 x minced meat on skewer - small (I think 'shawamma') 2 x Chicken skewers 2 x Lamb skewer 2 x calamari rings (correct 1 each) 2 x Prawns 2 x baklava 2 x Lebanese coffees Now I have eaten at Lebanese/Turkish/Greek before and ALWAYS leave stuffed for less. We felt like going to Macca's on the way home....Sorry this is not worth $100 for 2 people...they had a $29 banquet which would be close to the mark. The service was excellent. With a coupon we were disappointed....full price - disgusted. Its safe to say we wont be back - nor will you. Shame...they could have really put on a great value meal.

It's always nice walking out of a restaurant with a smile on your face. This happened to me tonight after a wonderful dinner at Cupido. After being greeted by the friendly waiter, all three of us started salivating over the delicious menu options. After our orders were taken, our meals arrived within an impressive 10 minutes and the presentation and taste of the food was divine. The vegetarian dips and salad platter provided me with an abundance of new and delicious flavours that were reminiscent of my recent trip to Turkey. The apple-infused dressing on the salad was a stand out! I will definitely be back again. NB. If one of the staff asks you whether you'd like a table outside to have a 'smoke', they are referring to shishas, not cigarettes. At first we were somewhat offended with their assumption that we smoked, however after seeing every table outside sucking down on their pipe, we realised the waiter was just trying to soak up the middle eastern dining experience.

After a disappointing time at Taste of Melbourne, we decided to walk down to Lygon St for a proper meal. We saw Cupido as a change to where we normal would eat. Being unsure as to what we would order, Bas (the owner who was looking after us) asked if we could leave the ordering up to him. That suited us perfectly and as each meal came out, it was in anticipation as to what we were eating next. The food was very authentic yet simple good food which is exactly what we were after. The staff were very friendly and made sure we enjoyed the food but also to just have a chat which is very rare these days.

We had a great night with friends at Cupido. The food is delicious and the service is first rate! A great atmosphere and really friendy and attentive staff. I would recommend anyone trying Cupido's and we'll be going back ourselves.

Its not often that you get served at a restaurant by the owner himself. The minute we walked in he welcomed us, showed us to the table and was very attending to all our needs. The food was great, service nothing but the best, and belly dancer entertainment was enjoyable

i have been to a lot of lebanese restaurants before as i definalty enjoy the food. Cupido middle eastern was one experience to remember. Unlike the others the food was reasonably priced, and the waiter did not leave our side. He explained the menu to my friends that have never tried middle eastern food before and was very helpfull. It gets the thumbs up from me
