We had our wedding here and it was a struggle halfway through the planning.

Before we signed the agreement, we were told by the sales consultant that if we couldn’t meet the minimum guest number, we’d still be able to use the remainder of the money towards decorations and theming.
A few months before the event date (and two deposits later), we were told that we could only use 30% of this amount. When we asked why, we were told that they “still had a business to run”. When I showed them the email the sales consultant sent us and asked if there was any room for discussion, they later emailed us that management were “still happy” to offer us this fraction of the remaining money.

Communication was sparse and inconsistent. Our wedding coordinator’s email felt like it was constantly set to “Out of Office” mode. In the days leading up to the wedding we wanted to confirm some last minute issues and these queries went completely unanswered.

We requested in writing that the top tier of our cake is saved so that we could have it on our anniversary. Curzon staff have so far said:
- They left it with someone called “[redacted name]”, but there was no [redacted name] at our party.
- They left it on the guest sign in table, but on the night the bridal party ensured everything was cleared away – they didn’t collect a cake.
- Curzon also said they may have served all of the cake, but I found this hard to believe since it was a three-tier cake for just over 100 people.
- Curzon misplaced items of ours that were labelled with event number, date, and name (including some specially imported items). A staff member showed us the storage room where they might have been kept, which was a mess, and we couldn’t find anything there.
- After the wedding, every time we made a request they said it was “100%, no problem”, followed by silence. After several weeks of back and forth with different staff members [redacted names], they offered to check with IT to retrieve footage to see where it could’ve gone, but due to delays in communication and being passed around, the camera footage had expired and was no longer accessible.
- The last action was for [redacted name] to return my call by early April. Still waiting to hear back.

Overall, our wedding day went relatively smoothly and the grounds are nice, but it was overshadowed by poor customer service, disorganisation, lack of communication, and lost items. As soon as the event was done it feels like they’ve washed their hands of us and are now just stonewalling us. I’m still short a cake tier and several items a couple of months after the event. I’m not expecting to see these again.

I’d love to know what actually happened, maybe even be compensated, especially since my wife and I have acted in good faith throughout this whole process and given them the benefit of the doubt, but in the past month I can’t even get a simple callback from these guys.

If you do choose to go with Curzon, tread carefully, get everything in writing, and don’t use items you’re willing to lose.

Such a fantastic venue! I've had several business events at Curzon Hall including charity dinners etc. with superb service. Would highly recommend dealing with Jo (venue manager) - he is the definition of attentive!

Had our wedding at Curzon Hall.. My wife and I thoroughly loved this venue from day 1.. just being a castle made it super exclusive.. Staff were very helpful and we were made to feel really special. Food & service were a standout and the grounds were also very nice. Thank you Curzon Hall for giving us the best day of our lives.

Best service in town!!! Adam, Connie and the team at Curzon are legends! They served the most
extravagant amounts of food, the drinks kept flowing and the atmosphere was perfect.

Everyone’s just been raving about my wedding!!! I still can’t believe that it’s all over so fast. My new beautiful wife is so happy that everything went to plan :)

My sister and I had gone around too over 15 venues to look at hosting her wedding. Her fiancee is over seas for work. We met with a beautiful sales person, who not only gave us a tailored package but also offered a personalized experience. The venue is beautiful, but the staff really do compliment what they offer. My only flaw ( has to always be one) Price was a little high for the inclusions you recieve, compared to other venues, but !! it is a castle and a really beautifully maintained one. My sister booked her wedding at Curzon Hall for June 2013. I cant wait ..

our experience was amazing. what can i say i felt like a real princess in a castle, from the red carpet arrival, doorman opening my door, beautiful and enchanting event room ahhh.
My prince by my side, surrounded by love, great food, great wine and our close family and friends. Curzon Hall surpassed all our expectations, and we loved every moment.

I was disappointed when going to check this venue out as a potential for our wedding. We both felt as though the customer service was lacking, the staff did not seem to make any effort with us and treated us like a number. I felt as though they try to get by on the venue selling itself (as the outside is really lovely). C'mon guys, where's the effort?

Been to a wedding, and even had my wedding at Curzon Hall. Could not fault them at all. Carmel looked after us BIG time THANK YOU. Also been to various events held at CH and it is a quality venue. However have not been there after their renovations.

Had my wedding at this venue and the venue itself is very nicely kept and very beautiful, especially at night. The venue at one point did have some rubbish laying about, but once pointed out the the staff, they ensured it was gone well before the wedding day.
On the day of the wedding the staff were very helpful and very patient with our most arrogant of guests which was very helpful and a pleasant surprise.

Only downside is they delay in some email correspondence and not calling back when they said they would.

Would happily have my wedding there again! Like a wedding should be, it was picture perfect!
